The increase in early voting by Republicans is probably much more attributable to the fact that Trump even though he apparently still doesn't approve of the procedure has given his supporters permission to vote early unlike in 2020 when he was actively urging them to wait until election day to cast their votes. The numbers almost certainly do not reflect an increase in the number of GOP voters but rather a shift in the way they are casting their votes.
Yep.. it's like I just want to say "get back to us when Trump proposes taxing unrealized capital gains." Which is straight up Karl Marx / Soviet Union type stuff. And no, I don't care if it's only the wealthy. The idea that our government would confiscate even George Soros or Michael Bloomberg's unrealized capital gains is an abomination.
Nevada early voting gets going today. This guy is the ultimate authority on what’s happening there. x.com
Taxing unrealized gains is a stupid idea. One of the few things dumber and far more crippling to an economy would be to tax every single product that comes across our border at a 20% rate (or up to 100%, depending on if Trump is feeling frisky that day).
LOL. He’s promising to raise your taxes with tariffs. I think we can guarantee that raising the price of all imported goods at least 20% impacts your finances more than an unrealized tax on gains over $100 million.
No, a “libbie” would support vastly protectionist tariffs to prop up non-competitive domestic industries or to try and force consumers to buy more expensive products. I support free markets and the elimination of nearly all tariffs (unless a specific case can be made for dumping). This includes any tariff that predated Trump or any new tariff Biden put in place. On this issue, you are the libbie. Not my fault if you are too ignorant to comprehend that fact.
This is useful, because it makes it easy. Democrats have historically dominated early voting. On a national scale as of right now, Republicans are outpacing Democrats in terms of percentage of votes cast versus percentage of early voting requests, by a pretty significant margin.
RE democrats voting early …. the dead must vote early …. as it’s pretty difficult for them to travel to a precinct on Election Day.
The EV numbers look awful for Dems. That has been their bread and butter. I reckon kicking all those dead folks off the rolls has really changed the landscape.
Wasn't it a couple of trump supporters from the Villages in the last election voting for their dead spouses.
It does allow them the ability to focus on lower propensity voters or would if Trump had not outsourced his GOTV efforts to third parties.
We're at a point now where we are getting more national polls from reputable firms who are showing Trump actually winning the popular vote nationwide. There has been a definite shift in the polling. If Trump actually does win the popular vote, it will be an early night on Nov 5th. Harris needs to win the popular by 3.5+ points to have a good chance of winning the electoral college. Her numbers are cratering and will continue to, because she's doing all the wrong things on the trail. Skipping the Al Smith dinner, especially just as the Whitmer video came out, is not helping her with catholics. Lots of catholics in the rust belt. Disaster of a campaign. There will be a lot of folks asking if replacing Biden was the right call, as crazy as that may sound.
Same theme in every battleground state. As I said in the other thread, you can still get 3-to-1 odds betting on Trump to win the nationwide popular vote.
