I think I have a right to be jaded since the same exact thing happened last year when we lost 5 straight. I expect to beat Kentucky. You expect to beat teams the Gators beat 30 years in a row. A win is a win, but it was Kentucky. I am not sure why certain folks are treating it like our Superbowl. Is that how far we've sunken?

To an extent you are right, but the rankings, etc have had time to correct by week 8 and in many ways, the next 3 games look worse for us than they did at the start of the season. Some people thought Brian Kelly was going to be on the hot seat. He lost a Heisman QB and has them back in the Top 10. We are not beating Georgia or Texas @Texas.

You know, if Napier would actually BEAT one of these teams, I might cut him a little slack. But to date, his biggest win is Utah. Let him actually beat one of these SEC powerhouses before we get the big head.

Yes. I already thought fans were crazy for thinking we beat both LSU and Ole Miss, but now some think we can possibly beat Texas or LeghumperU? Holy smokes.

Finally a great game, more like the good old Gators! We found QB and RB for the next few seasons, hope both of them stay.

That was what I would call a potential game to grow on. As I see it, Napier has two key games for his future: Old Miss and LSU. If this team (and obviously he) begins to get into a groove as to what it is...and Lagway doesn't turn the ball over too much...and wins at least one of those games, it is VERY plausible he wins 6 games and goes to a bowl. Win that and he will get his fourth year.

We shall see what actually happens. Napier has some damn tough current going against him.

Just finished watching the game so won’t bother with the OGT. I’m sure there must have been lots of praise given to the officials with their favorable calls. Camera crew sucked. And did they have a 1st grader drawing the yellow first down line? The line seemed to be off on several occasions. Great win though. We will win 2 more games.

TV coverage was terrible. Wrong down being displayed and first down line was wrong multiple times.

I would disagree with your assessment of some of our opponents. Oklahoma was humiliated. Texas, #1, got in a defensive battle and could only score 15. Bama lost to Vandy and UT. Frankly we should have beaten UT. We were superior but made some consequential mistakes.
What these games prove is this..THE SEC IS A SICK Conference and anybody can get their brains beaten out on any day. Welcome aboard Texas. Welcome aboard Oklahoma. There are no absolutes any more. Saban the miracle worker retired.
Final thought..can you imagine the heat on Bama coach Deboer? The BAMMERS are having PTLS.

Actually I think a lot of us want billy to succeed but he had to show improvement this year and after games 1 and 2 that didn’t appear likely. Maybe we have turned a corner but recruiting MUST improve and we must somehow get 2-3 more wins. We can’t go on another season ending 5 game losing streak.

    You are probably correct.
But..remember we are in charge of OUR big heads. Expectations always seem to bite us in the a$$. To each their own.
Look forward. Don’t look back. Can’t change that. Don’t moan about it.
Also, in this always changing world, it is now harder to predict anything.

Funny, though, when we lose everyone seems to project the next two years as the 3rd sign of the Apocalypse. Everybody thinks that is just fine.
Win? And everybody better just check their Pollyanna sunshine and lollipops mentality at the door.
A good psychologist could do a study on that alone.

Each game is a season unto itself. The wins/ losses will determine if CBN stays. Period. All the rest of us are just talkers. Win…or leave. That is all.

Though disappointed Etienne left, it opened the door somewhat for Jaden Baugh and others.

Baugh was very impressive last night. 100 yd game plus 5 TDs. He was impressive in the spring and his limited carries leading up to the game. He also has breakaway speed.

Meanwhile, Etienne is helping Ga and had a nice game last night.

Will be interesting in 2 weeks in Jax.
