Fans like you is why we have sucked for nearly 15 years. One season with even 3 losses isn't the end. Keep in mind Bama lost 21 to the portal when Saban retired and the guys left haven't really bought in to DeBoer. You need to wait until he gets his recruits in. He still has the best Top 25 win % among all active HBCs. The issue with Bama is their normal stellar defense isn't there and a subpar oline. Tennessee however isn't guaranteed a spot in the CFP because they have the easiest schedule in the Top 25. They will face not a single team ranked unless they reach the SEC championship.

But to say the honeymoon is over after 7 games in season 1 is why we never will find a winning HBC because he's always going to be compared to past successes. And yes, I happen to know this one rival pretty well considering I live among them. The fans are understanding, but they do want to win so he gets this season and see what happens next season. Keep in mind Saban's last CFP win was back in 2020.

Of course Deboer gets another season. But all the State of Alabama has is football. It's a religion, and way of life there.
