I’m in a Hampton Inn in Carlsbad. NM and watching ASU VB some… they’re good too. There are a lot of very good 6’1-6’5 girls who can play, and coaches who can coach this simple game.

Lauren Harden came in and made an outstanding kill in the 3rd set. She looked outstanding in her short time on the court. Could just be me, but she looked taller than 6'3". Her high athleticism was noticeable. Lauren definitely needs more court time unless the intent is to give her a redshirt. She can play now.

AC Fitzpatrick played 3 sets hitting -222. That just can't continue when we have an option like Lauren Harden on the bench who can relieve her when she isn't playing up to par.

Yeah - AC has not played well this year. Getting blocked a ton, which forces mishits.

It's the passing that keeps Harden off the court. Her first play in the game got her served and she passed it out the back line. Kennedy apparently doesn't pass either or we would have used her when serve receive falls apart. We had 2 hitters negative a couple hundred but apparently that's OK as long as you play a setter that will give Kennedy two to three times the swings as anyone else. Stucky was not the problem. Setting one player that often may win vs an average team like we just played but will not work against better teams. We already know Stucky is the better blocker, can save more passes tight on the net and can actually dump the ball the proper way. She will be in a different jersey next year and we can have Kennedy swing 50 times a game like Thayer Hall did and burn out.

LOL! I'm calling BS. Passing isn't keeping Harden off the court. It's two 5th year seniors doing that. However, when either isn't playing their best, AC hitting -.222 in this case, Harden should get her chances. She wasn't the #1 player coming out of high school for nothing.

The other player hitting negative was Alec Rothe, a true freshman taking on a lot of responsibility in the absence of Gabby Essix. She has played better, but at aTm, her poor hitting was more than offset by Jaela Auguste, another true freshman middle getting lots of playing time. On top of that Rothe led the team with 7 blocks.

UF just shut down a good and well coached aTm team 3-0 in their house. One would think a few good compliments are warranted.

WOW! - Gators destroyed LSU in set #1 in Baton Rouge, 25-10. Hit .400 to LSU's -.107. AC Fitzpatrick was awesome with 6 kills, 2 digs and a block, Alexis Stuckey with 11 assists. This is the team we all knew they could be. Hope this level of plays keeps up the rest of the match.

UF wins set #2 vs. LSU 25-18. LSU picked up their play, but Gators are still dominating. Kennedy Martin with 9 kills hitting .417, Izzy Martin with 6 kills hitting .600 & Fitzpatrick with 8 kills hitting .333. 75.9% side outs for Florida is impressive. Let's finish off the sweep, ladies!!

Gators sweep LSU, winning third set 25-17. Dominant performace by Mary Wise' team. After getting upset at home last weekend by South carolina, they went on the road and swept Texas A&M and LSU. Today, the team hit .367 with 36 kills and only 7 attack errors. 8 service aces (5 by Emily Canaan) and only 7 service errors to LSU's 12. 6 blocks on the day with 76.6% side out to LSU's 46.6%. Ellie McKissock had 14 digs, 17 more for the rest of the team and the frontline all played efficiently. Stuckey finished with 31 assists. Maybe they're finally jelling like we all though they could/would. Gators are now 13-5, 4-3 in the SEC, with a match hosting Tennessee on Friday, 7 pm on the SEC Network, then at Arkansas the followig Wednesday at 8 pm on the SEC Network. Gooo Gators!!

Does the new roster size boost that gymnastics received apply to volleyball as well? Also, is this increase full ride or are they still partial scholarships? I really hope it applies to volleyball because I am seeing 2 more DS commits and only 1 MB for 2025 class. Do we really need 2 more DS? I thought the 6 we have now was too many and after this year maybe that number would get smaller and closer to something more realistic like maybe 4.
