No one matters in their world unless they own or run a business. People who work for others are irrelevant to them except for gaining their votes with culture wars.

Ironically in Eric’s case, he’s probably one of the worst possible examples to cite of someone signing the front of a check as anything resembling “having a real job”.

Many small business owners work their asses off, esp those that build from nothing. But that’s a whole different universe from grifter boy.

Trumps don't sign the front of their checks, either. Ask their contractors.

I think the point is that we are voting for someone to be the chief EXECUTIVE for the country and she doesn't have any executive experience.

That is an extraordinarily generous interpretation of words that were quite plain.

So being the VP in the executive branch of US government for 4 years doesn’t count as executive experience? Thats a new one…

I was talking private, not government.

As California AG she headed an agency with approximately 4,500 employee and a budget of around a billion dollars. Trump's executive experience prior to his election in 2016 included managing six corporations into bankruptcy.

One could also argue that the Chief Executive of the United States who is responsible for managing the largest governmental organization in the world should have at least some executive experience in government. Donald Trump had zero prior to his election in 2016. In fact Trump was the first president in American history who had absolutely no experience in government or as a senior military officer (a form of governmental executive experience) prior to his election.

It would actually be interesting to go back and see which of our presidents had significant executive experience in the private sector. I believe similar arguments were made about Bill Clinton, Obama, and Biden, as examples. What about Lincoln? FDR? Eisenhower? JFK? Reagan?

The alternative is a "business" executive who has been a fraudulent bankrupted failure all his working life.

In this thread, has K Harris been the head of the federal government for the past almost four years?

Or is that just in other threads?

Yes, she was in charge of everything dastardly they don't like but at the same time she was in charge of nothing. Brilliant.

Kind of reminds me of what they were saying about Biden. One one hand he has dementia while on the other hand he is the brains behind a diabolic crime family.

Wasn’t Reagan head of the screen actors guild? :D

I remember hearing every day that he was a dictator.

Then they shut down the Russian troll farm, and I haven't heard that in a long while.

Yep! I wondered whether to include his name in my questions/list but wondered whether people think being president of a labor union constituted the sort of significant executive experience that qualified him to be president of the United States.

I was half joking when I posted that. Reagan’s qualification for being president was that he had been governor of the largest state. Whether he was qualified to run for governor is another discussion.

It’s interesting how many actors later went into politics. Some successful, and some not.
