I read you have to be an accredited investor to buy into this, so it will be interesting to see if he gets much interest from people who are actually good with money and understand the difference between an investment and a scam.

I would check the investors and see if any of them is wearing gold sneakers with a letter "T" on them and has orange makeup on his face and hair.

I guess his crypto went on sale today. Early reports are that the launch was plagued with problems and only about 4% of the “white list” buyers actually went through with a purchase. It’s free money for Trump, so I guess it doesn’t matter.

Edit… only 1.7% of his target coin sales went through.

Trump's coin sale misses early targets as crypto project's website crashes

Donald Trump’s WLFI token sale 96% short of $300 million goal

I guess day two wasn’t much better… 96% short of their sales goal. I mean, it really says something. Crypto is full of people who got rich off selling dumbest ideas, but even with the Trump name and geniuses like Eric and Barron behind it, crypto marks are like “no thanks”.

What percent of MAGA voters do you think know how to buy crypto?

it’s worse than than, Trump decided to limit purchases to “accredited investors” — so it’s not like the typical MAGA dopes had a chance to buy…. Which is a good thing in my opinion, because when you read the fine print, this crypto would have a $0.000000 resale value and offers a 0.00000% return … forever… by design. The only one making money off it is Trump on the initial sale. So I can’t think of any reason any person would want to “invest” in it, let alone an accredited investor.

Imagine what it must be like to be such a world-renowned scammer and grifter that even the crypto world can immediately see thought your shit. That says a lot, because the crypto world would be P.T. Barnum's favorite playground if he were still alive.

Donald Trump's $300M Crypto Venture Faces Backlash - Newsweek

The venture has met with criticism from cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi) industry experts who are concerned about potential conflicts of interest and unclear investor protections, and are wary of damage to the reputation of an already tarnished industry.

"There have been such a parade of undesirables in the crypto and DeFi world that adding Trump to the list couldn't possibly push the needle on popularity or enthusiasm."

Nic Carter, general partner at venture capital firm Castle Island Ventures, expressed doubts about the project's intentions. "He said nice things about crypto but he immediately wants to extract value. None of this is liberalizing or democratizing access to finance"
