He'd serve you one with all the fixins on the bun according to the process of dolling up dogs...

....he'd neglect to place the actual dog in the bun with the fixins.

I feel like we should be able to claim we are the actual “Home of the 12th man” now.

To add insult to injury Tennessee commentators are bemoaning how poorly the Vols played against us. It was a glum victory for them.

So much glass half empty rhetoric in this thread. Everyone wants to pull Napier's ejector seat lever immediately following the Vols game.
I see it differently, to me the past 2 weeks have shown us the best Gator football since September 3rd, 2022 (Utah game which we won 29-26). Why would fire a guy midseason when the squad finally looks like a team? If you pull that lever we are starting a rebuild all over again, exactly at the point where the defense is finally showing life after more than half a decade in sub-mediocracy. The offense is serviceable and might be great with a good OC. I think instead of firing him you throw him a lifeline by stipulating he must hire a legit OC and hand the reigns over.

Because recruiting is horrible. Everyone thinks he is gone so recruits aren’t touching us with a 10 foot pole. That’s what happens when you’re staring at 3 consecutive losing seasons. Have you noticed lsu, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia all sit in the top 10 in recruiting and we are running 39th. This is a major problem.

To the overall body of work, the close-loss at Tennessee does not move the needle much.

What? Is this true? Sure didn’t look like it at the end of the play.

Praise to Dike. He really helped us Saturday.

We left a lot of points on the field but so did UT. Nico sucked. He gave us an opening to bury them.

I know but in my opinion we are better now than we've been in a long while. This is why I still have hope that Napier could be a could CEO type head coach, hands off on most of the game day stuff but run the ship effectively. Aren't there successful coaches who are not Off, Def or ST coordinators?

If we can finish somewhat strong recruiting will improve. Vanderbilt ranked 46th last year and defeated the team that ranked 1st. Who are you going to hire midseason that will improve recruiting for 2024?

That was one game. Do you really think Vanderbilt has any chance at winning an SEC championship? That should be our goal, not merely being competitive. I’m not trying to save recruiting this season. I’m thinking about next season and after that. What has really improved about our team from year 1? I can’t point to anything conclusive.

He's a baller for sure. It took Mertz another play to realize he broke his collarbone against Missouri.

Billy may be MENSA material. Unfortunately, his live game awareness processes as quickly as he speaks.
