Dude came in and instantly turned us into contenders when Feleipe went down. Can we catch Texas Lightning in a bottle again with DJ? He almost won the game for us last weekend! What if we didn't send 12 men out for a field goal right before the half? I loved watching Kyle and I'm so disappointed that he isn't getting his shot to play in the no fun league.
Since it came up- Franks is still in the league!! I saw him on the Carolina Panthers special teams. He has really found his niche there. Not the role most Florida QBs take in the NFL- but it's a living.
Trask was awesome, and if it was any season other than 2020, Covid, it would be talked about more. 8 SEC games, and 4 cupcakes, yes FSU was a cupcake in 2020, there is no telling what kinda stats he would have put up against a normal schedule.

No, because we are going to run our same offense. We might see more forced throws and deep shots, which I am ok with. But when Trask came in, Mullen almost abandoned the run completely sometimes and let Trask throw it all over the place. I dont think we are going to see that.
Good point! Wish Billy would abandon his experiment as a play caller and let somebody else be OC! Not only could it make a huge change for the better, it could save him his job.
Respectfully, not even close to a similar situation so it is extremely wishful thinking. What else do we have though? Trask wasn't a true freshman and had been in the program. Also, for as much resentment I have for Mullen, he was light years ahead of Napier as a coach. Just look how we adapted our offense with Trask whereas Napier didn't tailor the offense in any way for AR's skill set
To be fair, AR produced plenty of highlights in Napier's offense. His main problem, and one that still haunts him, is AR is not accurate on the easy throws. Its like he has a mental block on throws he should be able to make in his sleep.
Can you relinquish x's and o's on offense, defense, and special teams while designating an assistant coach for split second decisions, and still be considered a head coach?
I couldn't shake the thought that Nico looks an awful lot like UT's version of Feleipe when I was watching the game.
Let’s not kid ourselves here. Mullen NEVER called an offense like the one we ran with Trask either before 2019 or since 2020. He had no clue what to do with Leak his first year as OC. The offense we ran with Trask was ran by Brian Johnson.
