Different forms of plagiarism? LOL. I get the bending over backwards for your candidate but this is hilarious. A simple she should've cited the sentences she copied would've sufficed. Congrats to Harris for only plagiarizing a little bit. Yeah!

While I realize that fine distinctions and analysis are not among your strong points, the former (pregnancy) refers to a condition and that latter (plagiarism) concerns an act.

Apparently you didn't read this the first time I posted it and it's a quote from an expert on the subject:

Wow, thanks for clearing that up for me! Appreciate it. Now, you are perfectly fine with saying there are forms of plagiarism. Good to know. So Harris is just a little plagiarist. Got it.

Would you agree there are different kinds of lies? Or, are all lies the same, and telling your kid there is a Santa is no different than claiming Iraq has a massive stockpile of WMDs?

As for plagiarism, there is outright stealing of another person's work. There are also times where two people can come up with similar themes/work independently. The artist Prince and lead guitarist of Journey Neal Schon had the same instructor, and Prince was worried his song, "Purple Rain" sounded just like "Open Arms" as they had the same chord progression. Schon and Journey knew it was just coincidence and agreed not to take any action, as long as Journey got front row seats to the next Prince concert in the Bay Area.

There's also the plagiarism that Harris seems to be guilty of. And that's a mistake in attempting to give proper credit. Seems like her citations were incorrect and she didn't use proper quotation marks. Since there are citations in the book, it is difficult to believe she was intentionally trying to plagiarize. Why cite anything if your intention is to outright steal?

What’s truly sad are the liber-gressives downplaying this plagiarism as minor, a non-issue ….. would be flailing about screaming all sort of nasties if the person involved was a conservative. Leftists simply lack perspective and objectivity…… and ethics.

You know, if you occasionally posted criticisms/revelations about the far, far, far more serious transgressions by Trump, you'd have some credibility. And I've never known you to admit you're wrong and to apologize.

You're making a bigger deal about it than I am. I simply posted the news. As I said earlier, plagiarism is a not a good thing, but if this is the only plagiarism she's guilty of, it's going to be a nothing burger.

    If doesn’t matter
Then f this had been posted about trump conservative would call it a nothing burger and dens would call it proof he isn’t trustworthy/intelligent/etc..
It’s tribalism from start to finish.
Trump could shoot someone in Times Square and certain posters would praise his 2nd amendment’s stance.
Kamala could declare the boarder open to all human traffickers and certain posters would laud her diversity measures.

Again, you don't seem to understand that two wrongs don't make a right. I don't have to post Trump mistakes if I don't want to (assuming they have validity), but that doesn't make me wrong in posting mistakes Harris has made. You see, that's the beauty of freedom of speech.

However, you won't see me wasting my time with posting hyperbole or outright BS about either candidate that will later end up being laughed out of an appellate court in a blue state with the prosecutors of said candidate begging the judge not to be sanctioned for their politically motivated lawfare. So, you don't ever have to worry about me doing that to your beloved Kamala.

This is a nothing burger I agree. Will be interested to see how Harris does on Rogan.

Here's an example of her "minor citation mistakes"

Some of these are laughable. First off, she used footnote citations throughout, and secondly, some of the things they accuse her of plagiarizing are terms like ---
--"1979" (yes, she's accused of plagiarizing the year 1979)
    --"Richard Nixon's 1968 campaign"
    --"in 1974"
    --"The public interest"
    --"reduced recidivism"
    --"Hofstra Law Review"
    --"But"

Overall they claim the passage is similar to an NYT piece ... which should be obvious because she cited the NYTs in a footnote.

Sounds like a lot of backpeddling there LOL. It's ok though because the NYT's said it was only a little plagiarism...

Right and a correct analogy. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not true.

So you are an expert on plagiarism and claim that there is only one form/degree extent thereof. Brilliant. And your analogy fails miserably.

My conclusion here is that I shouldnt run for office because I'm pretty sure I committed similar acts in constructing various papers. There were numerous times where I failed to cite my own unpublished papers too, so they'd probably ding me for that too lol.
