To be fair, if we want him as our next coach, he does have to lose a couple games to stay out of the playoffs... so you can't say we want him because he is great but then say we don't want him because he lost a few games. Those losses are the only way we have a chance to get him!

And he has a lot of transfers since Ole Miss isn't a hotbed for recruits to go to. See how well a team load o lf transfers is working out for FSU or Colorado.

There is one stadium nobody in the history of football wants to play at night that isn't LSU. I'll leave it at that.

That's circular logic though. Want him to lose games so we can get him. The same guy that lost to Kentucky that has a coach nobody wants but the kiffin fans chalk it up to "everybody drops a game they shouldn't. "

Plus, I have a hard time believing anything he is posting about florida right now is nothing other than trolling. How would a head coach be "hinting" at wanting to come to Florida while coaching a supposed playoff contender. It's a troll job and Florida fans are gonna be the butt of yet another joke. The punches keep coming.

No coach is going to unify Gator nation. They all got issues, but any of them are probably better than Billy Taggart.

Didn’t see the end of this game. Was too disgusted with coaching decisions in ours. But Ole Miss had been winning last I checked in the 4th Quarter. Shot in the dark here. Did officiating “help” LSU get back in this thing?

That’s a non-argument. It is going to cost silly money to hire ANY quality football coach to come to UF. For that matter we already pay silly money for an inept coach who is 2-12 against ranked teams.

Kiffen's a gamble. He's done okay at Ole Miss but nowhere near the trajectory that led to the expectation we had when Spurrier or Meyer arrived. He might be okay, but he is still, so far, mediocre.

He has the highest upside of any realistic hires we could make.

Drinkwitz of Missouri or Campbell of Iowa State are somewhat proven but not flashy for recruits.

    Golesh at USF has potential.

Of the four, Lane has the biggest ego, followed by Drinkwitz. We are best when our HBC has a huge ego ala Spurrier and Meyer.

Right. His salary is close to 9 million and he has a bonus structure where another million is achievable. He might leave if he sees UF as a better administration to work for; if he really wants to win and Ole Miss for whatever reasons is too difficult to recruit(Recruiting has changed and it doesn't matter as much if you are landing top 5 classes because half the players from top 10 classes are in the portal within two seasons); If he feels he's losing too many games and only a couple of seasons before his seat gets hot.

If our AA decides we have the money, he's who they want, he wants to coach at UF, okay, make it happen. We are in a bind BIG TIME and our program needs to be rescued. We are not in a position of strength. I doubt Kiffin loves UF, is drawn to us, sees us as top of the mountain. So why would he come, more money, better buyout, and because he sees the hot seat coming at current course and speed? It might work but at the same time, with those motivations is he all UF? Anyway...

Define "quality". The first time that Kiffen wins something big will be the first time. And to that, so will it be for Brian Kelly, although he has gotten close. All we are doing is going into "NFL territory." And if UF does then that is probably going to be it for me and college football.

I mean how do people believe his interactions with Gator nation is genuine? Why would ole miss admin and players allow that? It's like believing the hooters waitress really wants to talk to you or the stripper is really attracted to you and just wants to dance lol

Kiffin obviously tanking so he can take the Florida sooner. Shouldn’t make it look so obvious.
