On the road, go for two. At home play for OT. Another great decision by Billy.

No, Kiffin knows he needs a strong defense too. He'll just never have the natural recruiting advantage there that comes with coaching at Florida. There's a ceiling at Ole Miss with recruiting and resources he'll never be able to break through and he knows that. Like I said in the other thread... worst case scenario... think of Lane Kiffin like a Dan Mullen, except he loves to recruit, lives and breathes football. Kiffin's record at Ole Miss is somewhat similar to Mullen's at Miss State, maybe a little better. Spurrier lost games at Duke and South Carolina for the same reason.

One more loss with Old Piss and Kiffin will be crawling to Gainesville if given the offer.

    Uh... been drinking a bit?

UF's academic status has climbed precipitously over the last 20 years. This is a good thing.

And you bozos that think that hinders our football program are just that-- bozos.

Like everyone else BN does not belong in big college ball. Experiment failed and boy did it. He knows, we know his days are numbered, most likely after the season. We just have to suffer through another losing season, there's no way of salvaging this season. I'm glad the D is stepping up but the play calls limit offense and scoring.
I'd feel a tad better if he wasn't going to be paid such a huge sum for being a colossal failure as a football coach. Can't blame him for taking the money, he should kiss the feet of SS.

For all those who believed that Billy should have gone for two, I can only imagine the reaction if Billy did so, only to see Lagway get sacked and we lost by one point. How many would have said, "Damn, we lost but ya gotta hand it to Billy for at least trying to win."

I've read hundreds of posts, but have yet to come across one that mention Heupel's many mistakes and poor clock management, or an acknowledgement that Tennessee's defense had as much to do with our struggles as our players' mistakes and Billy's offensive playcalling.

Today feels a lot like September 2004. We just lost a game in Knoxville that we should have won. It’s like the ghost of Dallas Baker came back to haunt us with stupidity (I can still see that slap from the upper deck). Kentucky is next. The only difference … we don’t have MSST later in the season. Instead we just have the hardest schedule ever created.

So do you give CBN credit for doing “better” (I use that term loosely) like we gave Zook in 2004, or call a spade a spade.

The good news from today is OleMs lost, and Kiffin won’t be focused on the playoffs and maybe open to an early sit down with the gators (personally I would love to see Kliff Kingsbury or Kerwin Bell be the next coach). But I’m going to stick with the popular vote just to find a saving grace today.

What’s obvious though is Alabama and FSU are down this year. To me this is a major recruiting opportunity that can’t be missed (just like 04 … Tebow). We have to give recruits confidence and hopefully find the next coach sooner rather than later.

Regardless I was blessed with the curse of being raised a Gator (just like the rest of yall) which tells me a change is coming. Let’s just hope 2004 Deja Vu turns into 2025 revitalization.

Someone please post the screenshots of Billy confused on whether or not to take timeout at half with penalty run off and his comical posturing on the going for 2…if anyone needed added examples of a coach not being fit for their job, please reference

Tennessee won the game, BN would have to take the criticism, if we won, Heupel would be criticized.

I know it's all been said but Napier is just too predictable. UT's D started looking like they had our playbook because they knew Napier plays it safe with Lagway and just isn't going to take chances throwing a lot downfield. We will win some more with this team. Lagway will get better as he gets more snaps. His vision and overall ability is outstanding. Hopefully Mertz will be in his ear if he's out for the season. But Billy needs to go.

If we had magically won the game, Napier would have been given a bit of respect and a pause to his inevitable release. But the view was that this team is still on the outside looking in as it relates to one that is on its way.

The loss pretty much makes the inevitable sooner rather than later. It is what it is.

We didn’t have any timeouts left which is why the runoff occurred. And going for 2 is crazy.

Been over. The only variables are when, how, and giving Stricklin the boot as well.

Our offensive line blocked decently at times but their defensive line really took it to us at key moments. We are still really weak on the offensive line at some spots.

Regarding the 12 men on the field before the 2nd quarter FG attempt. Why do we have legions of personnel on the staff? Isn’t someone accountable for simply counting the number of players on the field. It literally takes like 5 seconds. This coupled with the sideline Special Teams twister mat. It boggles the mind.
