im not so sure. It was the only play of the drive without a stoppage in play - the prior two plays Billy spoke a ton to Lagway and then we ran two bone headed plays. On the td, Lagway lined up without any sideline talking to Billy. Told my buddy I hope we don’t call TO - the less coaching Lagway gets from Billy the better. And bang…touchdown throw.

I am assuming that Billy called the play via the helmet mic but…in my alternate universe DJ called that play and we got the td.

Ugh...piss-poor play calling tonight. That single handedly lost the game. Should have beaten them at their place. Even the announcers were baffled by the play calling.

Napier is a nice guy, he should go be nice somewhere else. And, yes, the kids played their asses off and balled out. The defense was swarming like the old days.

Blessings to the players. Thank you.

Coach... you've been overpaid and have under-delivered for three years. If you were smart, a bad ass OC would have been hired 2 years ago.

Get the Oregon guy, Kiffen, a known commodity. No more up and comers please.

GC has the best posters and Mods. Thanks guys.

It's great to be a Florida Gator. Hire the best!

    Go Gators.

He's probably the only coach to EVER lose back to back to UK, and he's about to make it 3 in a row

You're the one who said we were allergic to passing. That was wrong.

Yep, and it’s awesome when they blitz the entire defensive backfield. just run into a wall. They had no idea

Everyone who counted on UF's hex over UT completely underestimated the power of Billy Napier's ability to lose football games. I'm at a loss for words to articulate how bad this man is at coaching. He is an active detriment to this teams success.

I did not like the going for 2 and especially did not like that we came out in some crazy gadget formation if we were going to do it.

D was playing well. Going for 2 is a sign of desperation imo. I liked our chances better at OT. At least until that penalty and big chunk set us back lmao.

What’s funny was after the UT game last year, I posted Billy should be fired at the end of the season if he didn’t hire an OC and also that Armstrong should be given an extension.

Do you really want to watch UF get steamrolled by Oregon State again? I don't. And no I'm not a sore loser, losing is fine if you don't beat yourself every game. What's the point.

We have enough talent on this team to win 9-10 games.

That was Mertz over throwing a receiver downfield in the first half that was wide open and having six or seven chances in the red zone to score, but this is a reality, three points. Yes, he always has a moment then Billy leaves him in with terrible play calling. At least DJ can run and throw it long. DJ gets the reins now, we just need an OC to let him what he does best.
Nape is tooo conservative and will never bring the excitement to our offense, he will hold DJ back, thus the Gators….

I saw Lagway and Dike drawing it up in the dirt before the snap.

Armstrong, as green as he may be, would be an upgrade.

Especially if Mertz is gone for the year. I like Lagway, but he's not ready for this gauntlet. He tends to telegraph things whereas Mertz saw the whole field and he uses the TEs.

Self destructed in the red zone again and again. Procedure penalties, poor play calling, time outs... Over and over. He's not worthy of this job.

The blanket of total futility that hangs over the BN era is so thick at this point that you can cut it with a knife. The guy simply hasn't got major conference coaching talent. He lacks the creative imagination to "gin" something up on the spur of the moment or to see things in the other team they can exploit as the game goes on. BN is notably deficient in both regards and it's time to move on. There can be no serious consideration of continuing with BN any longer than is absolutely and appropriately necessary.

personally, I think the crazy formation was done solely to get Tennessee to burn one of their timeouts. Thus, making it a little harder to drive for a fg in 29 seconds. I bet Billy would have called TO if Tenn didn’t.
