No one has called for more passes. Billy is known for using short passes as runs. People have called for more down the field passes like the TD Lagway threw the end. It's OBVIOUS Lagway is best when on the move and looking down field. BTW, if you defending Billy as a coach,you clearly do not understand the game.

Well boys, we just witnessed the Napier special. I don't even need to list out the mistakes made as they are the same mistakes made in every other loss of his tenure. Here's to nailing the next hire.

More passes than the other team doesn’t matter wise ass. When we are in effectively running the ball into a brick wall every 1st and 2nd down, and then calling a pass play with an empty backfield for a blitzing Defense to T off on the QB….those are the stats that matter.

 

I just love the 2nd and long runs in the middle of the LOS. Do whatever you can to stay out of 3rd and long but I guess that's not what he (CBN) thinks you should do.

 

The team played really hard and the defense gave us every chance to win this game. The game was lost in the first half when we should have built a much bigger lead. The playcalling by our head coach is just awful. Calling a WR sweep on 4th and inches when Johnson had been bowling people over was plain stupid. Same for calling a QB sneak on th Mertz fumble on first and goal from the 2 foot line. Give the dang ball to Montrell already. And the play calls in OT were awful. He's so predictable and bland. No imagination at all. Smack has been automatic and I think let the moment get to him on that OT kick. But it happens. The talen is there on this team and the effort was there as well. The head coach let the guys down once again, IMO. Very sad.

I wish they would just stop talking about streaks like this. Napier just sees it as a chance to say hold my beer.
