Long time Gator here, family that has played, kids graduated and currently attending… If I got as stressed and worked up and some seem to be, I would turn off the tv.

 

Correct. I don’t like things that are awful.

 

Shutting out a top 5 offense in their house I think deserves at least a C

 

Ran a sweep with a player who had been out and was questionable all week

 

We were actually just too aggressive on third down. Should have been a two-step drop & a fade into the end zone, basically a prayer, or a spike. Of course people would have complained if we had done something like that but it would have ensured the three points.

 

Jaden Robinson had a good first half.

Billy is good for minus 14 a game on stupid decisions and poor prep…I’m not sure if he has exceeded his quota already but damn that was some awful coaching.

Please please please someone let Billy know the things that work from the 20 to the 20 don’t work well inside the 20…put a few plays in that operate in the endzone rather than going to dunk and dunk inside the 20 into a loaded box.

 

The Mer fumble is on coaches. Why would you run Merz and not Lagway? Duh!

This is my first comment regarding this game, it consists of two parts:
TEAM
I am coming to really like the fight I'm seeing in this team. The defense seems to be figuring some things out and Pup is a beast. I'm thrilled with the heart and physicality we're seeing. These guys are finally getting to be a problem for the opposition as opposed to staff/fanbase.
COACHING
SS, DD. A QB sneak at the goal line with Lagway sitting on the bench was a kodak moment for the ages. Bungling three trips to the RZ while coming away with only three points on the field due to this stolid, formulaic, uber-predictable scheme is not a good look for Mr. SMDMM. Not a good look at all.

 

If we go down and score a td on the 2nd half kickoff then I think we can put the errors of the first half behind us

 

But he went against what our strength was and it bit us. The Karma gods definitely aren’t with him, but even my 14 year old called that we should have given it to Montrell

 

Definitely prefer Lagway running it with an option to a big ass running back, but that might not work either

 

I once thought that the two OL blocking each other (downfield, no less!) was the dumbest UF play I was ever (personally) going to see. Then I thought Marco Wilson's shoe toss was the dumbest. But this one gets marked down even further than those because it's by the coaching staff, following two consecutive(!) timeouts, with special negatives for being a recurring problem.

Folks, there's a new leader in the clubhouse. However, I can't close the competition yet. SS will probably give CBN another opportunity next week.
