Just an article from USA today regarding Kiffin and UF. Nobody will know anything till end of season anyways. It's all just speculation.

 

But I thought our season has been over for six or seven weeks. Was I wrong?

My point is any potential candidate has issues. There is no gotta have that guy out there.

Kirby and Saban (last season) are only SEC coaches with winning records against Top25

Essentially those coaches are very rare. I think Kiffin could be successful at UF but he comes with risks, like any hire will. I also don’t think anyone we bring in will compete at the Bama/UGA/OSU level, but that’s not a coaching issue IMO.

 

It’s a crapshoot and no one has the answer.

 

Getting wins against top 25 while coaching FAU, a Vol team which was devoid of talent, a non winning school like Ole Miss…I’d say he was dealt a bad hand going in with those schools so a bad record against top 25 would be expected. Did he hang around long enough to right the ship in those schools..no..that’s a different story.

Running a blue chip program in today’s NIL system where doing some back channel stuff is nothing that gets punished is a totally different bird than his prior engagements. I would expect him to turn our debacle around very quick but would he stay or move on to the nfl the first chance he gets. Of course the team he would leave and the new coach search would be miles ahead of the current disaster.
