Another thing about Heritage working on P2025 is that their 501(c)(3) status does not allow them to legally do political work like this.
The ground work started the moment roe v wade was put into place 50 years ago. The long game to establish a fundamentalist christian theocracy dominated by white males with money.
If the IRS were to enforce this rule it would just stir up the RW conspiracies once again and let them scream victimhood all the louder. Laws are for the others.
Project 2025 director steps down amid backlash from Trump | CNN Politics CNN — Paul Dans has stepped down as director of Project 2025, the conservative playbook for a potential second Donald Trump term, amid intense criticism, including from the former president. Dans’ departure was confirmed in a statement to CNN by Dr. Kevin Roberts, the president of the Heritage Foundation, the group that launched Project 2025. Before joining Heritage to lead the project, Dans served as a top official in Trump’s White House. In a statement Tuesday, Trump campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita said, “President Trump’s campaign has been very clear for over a year that Project 2025 had nothing to do with the campaign, did not speak for the campaign, and should not be associated with the campaign or the president in any way.” They continued, “Reports of Project 2025’s demise would be greatly welcomed and should serve as notice to anyone or any group trying to misrepresent their influence with President Trump and his campaign — it will not end well for you.”
To be fair though, you're referring to the foot soldiers of the agencies he's referring to; the 95% (which I took to be arbitrary anyway), was aimed at the upper echelon bureaucrats who climb up the latter by being....bureaucRats, with a capital Rats. That's what I gleaned from "...fire the top 20 of every agency" comment. That's how I read it anyway. FWIW.
Here's Trump talking about how important P2025 is to his 2nd term. You'll be shocked no doubt to get confirmation that he was lying about not knowing what it is.
A couple of British Journalist secretly recorded Project 2025 head person. Confirms every fear that Project 2025 is more of Trump's platform than the list of 20 bullet points Trump published a few weeks ago. Scary to think if Trump wins, a Christian Nationalist would have this much power among all the other crazy things included in Project 2025.
Another fun facet of P2025: Selling highways to the highest billionaire bidders who will be free to make all of them toll roads.
Somewhat ironic. JD Vance used the phrase "De-Ba’athification" when what he is proposing is the Trumpian equivalent of Saddam Hussein's Ba’athification. Rather an apolitical civil service Saddam packed the Iraqi government with members of the Ba'ath party loyal to him. Similarly he and Trump under Project 2025 are proposing to do the same replacing the Civil Service with party loyalists.
Out of curiosity, if Trump were to win and offered the compromise of moving the majority of the federal agencies out of DC to other areas of the country instead of replacing the civil servants in them, would you be open to that? For instance, the Department of the Interior is moved to Omaha, NB and Department of Agriculture is moved to Oklahoma City, OK. Assume all current civil servants would be paid a moving allowance to continue their employment with the agency.
You believe that Trump is about to implement Project 2025 and this was the alternative option that would ensure he does not fire the civil servants. For the sake of the hypothetical, assume that compromise goes through as promised.
