Detroit City is the place to be ... This mad dog town's gonna set you free!

Grew up loving Ted Nugent, now I wouldn't waste my spit on him if he was on fire.

I'll still listen to Home Bound when it pops up on Sirius, love that song. Liked Nugent when I was in HS, before I realized he was a draft dodging pedophile. But that does explain his appeal with MAGA.

Exactly, I grew up in Michigan so Ted was a hero to us in the 70s, almost as much as Bob Seger (ducks ...). Like you, I didn't learn about his draft dodging, pedophilia, and over the top gun nuttiness until much later.

Now when one of his songs come on I'm really torn. Still love those songs, but hate the man. My fav was always Stranglehold.

have they given up on winning and are just enjoying the grift at this point?

likely figures he will just wing it like he does everything else. rules, laws, deadlines, forms, paperwork..none of that applies to him

Trump Campaign Is Blowing Off Presidential Transitional Deadlines (msn.com)

American presidents are inaugurated in January, but the process of coordinating the change of the guard between an outgoing and incoming administration begins weeks before Americans cast their ballots in November. Nothing about this election cycle has been normal, but Donald Trump is breaking with yet another campaign expectation by refusing to participate in presidential transition preparations.

According to a Wednesday report from The New York Times, the former president has missed two major deadlines and failed to sign three documents necessary for the transition - two of which are required by federal law.

Trump remains insistent that he will reclaim the White House in November, and exact vengeance on those he believes stole a second administration from him in 2020. So why is he skirting the presidential transition process? It's likely because signing the required documents would bind him to financial and ethical guidelines that he would rather avoid.

According to the Times, Trump's campaign did not sign a General Services Administration agreement - an accord that would grant the campaign access to workspace, tech support, and federal funding to aid in the transition - by the Sept. 1 deadline. If agreed to, the campaign would be required to disclose private donations to their transition fund and place a $5,000 limit on individual contributions. Without the voluntary disclosure agreement, money collected to fund Trump's transition is essentially being dumped into an oversight black hole, as the Federal Election Commission does not oversee transition funds.

My thought is that Trump doesn't have a prayer and should get ready for both bankruptcy and a long jail term or two. He should sell his gold toilets while his name is still worth something.

Trump is angry that large foreign companies are coming into the U.S. and "raping our country." Apparently, that's his job. I can't imagine anyone stupid enough to take Trump seriously or think he might make a good president. Apparently, to be a Trump voter, you have to hate buying goods from overseas (free trade) and all of the financial savings that goes with that. Only when Americans cannot afford to buy things in life will they truly be happy. And when you do buy some over-priced item, you can proudly proclaim to your family that you were raped by an American company (and/or Donald Trump).

It's good to see that Trump now believes that rape is not a good thing, after he raped so many women himself, so there is some progress there. He was a rape-a-holic. Trump does acknowledge his stupidity, which also has to be regarded as progress.

Trump says big companies have 'raped our country' in economic speech

A newspaper writer decimates the one thing that Trump fans claim about Trump: that he was a good president. Some republicans say that Trump is old, getting senile, lies constantly, cheats on his wives, makes racist comments, is a convicted felon, and tried to initiate a coup against the elected government, but he was a good president. It turns out that he was NOT a good president.

Careful with money? Not really--he jacked up the federal debt by over $7 trillion, the largest increase by one president in history (and in just one term). Only a small part of that was due to Covid, most of the rest was corporate tax cuts.

Jobs? The loss of jobs (3 million) was related to Covid. However, that does not explain why Biden was able to increase the number of jobs by 16 million, instead of only the 3 million lost.

Weakened democracy? Check. January 6th speaks for itself.

Cozying up to dictators? Check. Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un, Duterte, Maduro, etc.

Increasing American hatred and violence? Check. Racism, Xenophobia, you name it, Trump encouraged it. Trump weakened the gun laws, and criminals and killers alike thanked him by robbing and killing like never before (2020 saw the largest increase in murders in over 50 years).

Denial of a deadly virus? Check. Trump disdained masks, ridiculed scientists and science alike, failed to encourage people to get the vaccine, and generally degraded the U.S. response to Covid. Many of the 400,000 killed could have been saved had Trump responded better to the virus.

Overall review of the Trump presidency: disaster.

You really think Donald Trump was a good president? Look at his record | Opinion

They haven't given up on gaining the presidency, they just believe that post election day shenanigans will get them there more effectively than earning the most votes in the right states on 11/5.

Trump has a new movie out this week! It's called "The Apprentice". It is a must-see for all Trump fanatics. It deals with how Roy Cohn taught Trump everything he knows about working the system. It's being called a "Frankenstein" movie. Trump's campaign was not happy with the movie because it depicts Trump raping his wife Ivana based on her divorce court testimony (not the denial she made decades later when he was running for president). Trump supposedly lost the last bits of humanity he had when his alcoholic brother Freddy died of a heart attack at 42. Trump was generous enough to gift a dying Roy Cohn a set of fake diamond cuff links.

You've gotta be proud of a candidate that has his own movie out, just before the election.

It's more than just Trump. Retired Lt. Gen. (and Trump National Security Advisor) Michael Flynn has committed to "unleashing hell" on Trump's political opponents, up to and including executing them. He was basically agreeing to an audience member at the Rod of Iron Freedom Festival in Pennsylvania, who wanted him to imprison and execute "the swamp".

I'm gonna miss the pre-Nazi/fascist days a lot if Trump wins.

They aren't complying with transition requirements because they require strict fundraising standards and reporting. They want to continue whatever unethical and illegal fundraising they've been doing in secret.

Actor Dennis Quaid is actually dumb enough to compare Donald Trump to Ronald Reagan. Apparently, he doesn't know that Reagan called Russia an "evil empire" and started a proxy war with them in Afghanistan. Apparently he doesn't know that Reagan was a fiscal conservative (although he had to give that up in a concession to a Democrat-controlled Congress to rebuild and modernize a depleted military), and not a failed businessman who loved to "play with debt". Apparently, he doesn't know that Reagan was not a rapist, tax cheat, felon, or insurrectionist. Apparently, he doesn't know that Reagan had a great team of advisors and he actually listened to them.

Zachary Levi, a small-time, suicidal actor, compared Trump to JFK. Apparently, they both used the title "president" at one time.

Trump follows up on his trip to Michigan to insult Detroit with . . . a trip to California to insult . . . California. He seems to have decided that California's problems with crime and immigration are Harris' fault, even though she was not ever in charge of either one. I guess he'll say whatever his simple-minded cult members are willing to accept.

MAGA bussed them in, let em find their own way back to their cars..too funny, this has happened before when the bills didn't get paid

djt claims 100k showed up, permit had a max of 15k and was never close to that

just wonder if all those left stranded after listening to him talk about his wonderful body on the beach will still go vote for him

‘Absolute chaos’ as Trump supporters ‘left stranded’ after Coachella rally hit by assassination scare (msn.com)

Along with Trump facing an altercation with a heckler, an armed Las Vegas man who held ID documents under multiple names was arrested outside the rally. Authorities claim Trump may have been the target of a third assassination attempt in as many months.

While thousands of supporters were bussed into Calhoun Ranch, which was situated about five miles away from where they parked their vehicles, people attending claimed the event organizers had neglected transport for the return journey. And instead of being shuttled away from the venue after Trump exited the stage at about 7pm PT following a near-90-minute address, many attendees were left stranded in 93F heat, according to video footage on social media.

“Apparently the buses are no longer coming,” said one attendee in the clip taken more than three hours after the rally had concluded.“There used to be like 20 buses when we were being brought here, but now there’s only like three buses operating.” He added: “It’s just chaos, absolute chaos. All of us are stranded here, everyone is stranded here.”
