The following article, from 2019, says that Haitians do indeed eat cats. Whether they're currently eating cats in Springfield, OH is, of course, a different question. The same site has another article denying that it's happening in Springfield.

I have serious doubts as to the credibility of the source.
This is another article by the same writer:
How a nasty fart under the sheet almost destroys this Haitian family
    by L. SLAYER •September 19, 2024
A nasty fart almost destroys this Haitian couple Once upon a time in the vibrant city of Port-au-Prince, a couple named Jean and Marie lived. They had been married for three years, a milestone celebrated with joy, laughter, and m…

This is description of the Christmas celebration in which Haitian supposedly eat cats.
Reveillon: Christmas Eve is often the day most celebrated in Haiti and Reveillon is an important part of the Haitian culture on this day. “Reveillon” comes from the French word “réveil” which means “waking” and is a time to celebrate the awakening of Christ with a feast. Many people attend late-night church services on Christmas Eve, and this feast is often enjoyed after church with friends and family into the early hours of the morning.

Traditional foods can include rice with djon djon (Haitian mushrooms), rice and beans, chicken creole, fried accra, goat, pineapple upside down cake or orange cake.
[no mention of cat] This feast can last the entire night as people dance and sing in celebration. Christmas Day is often a quieter day. Many Christians attend a special Christmas church service and time is spent with friends and family.

I saw the headline on the fart story.

I can respect your position. Here's why I do consider it credible.

The article is from 2019 so it's not biased by anything going on right now and the claims aren't totally outrageous. The goal of the article doesn't appear to be trashing Haiti/Haitians. It seems more like a "separate myth from reality" type article. In fact, one could use this article to argue against the idea that cats are being eaten in Springfield. If, as the article claims, eating cats at Reveillon is limited to a fairly small group of people in the country then it wouldn't necessarily register with whoever wrote your description of Reveillon.

Out of curiousity, what do you think of this article, from 2014, about Hawaiians eating cats and dogs?

Trumpsters and Vancers have gone full retard. The Pasco County Sheriff had to issue a statement after getting numerous calls about 600 Haitian immigrants "being stored" in a county warehouse.

Turns out, it's a temporary hurricane shelter for special needs residents...

Red county doing ignorant red stuff ...

I would think that anything that happens in some foreign country does not excuse the liars Trump and Vance from telling racist lies in order to scare up votes by hate-mongering and promoting sometimes-violent antipathy towards immigrants who are here legally.

Further, people like you who try to subtly insinuate some truth to these racist lies about immigrants in the USA should feel ashamed for your transparent attempt to propagate racist hate-mongering.

    That sum it up?

    Also;

In a statement on Tuesday, a Springfield police spokesperson said, "In response to recent rumors alleging criminal activity by the immigrant population in our city, we wish to clarify that there have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community."

I thought you were going to put me on ignore if I quoted you again. This is now the second time I've quoted you since you said that so I expect that ignore to be forthcoming.

First off, it's interesting that you only mention foreign countries. I was specifically interested in discussing the Hawaiians (you know people who are actual American citizens) eating cats and dogs. Of particular interest, to me, from the article I linked is this line. "Hawaii's house committee recently tried to pass a bill banning the eating of cats and on the island, but it was shelved because there was too little concrete, legislative evidence for it (meaning that while it does happen a lot, not everyone goes to jail for it so there aren't formal records)" Pet theft is a low level crime so, even when people know it's happening there's not a lot of records. Thus I'm keeping an open mind about the question.

I consider this story plausible despite the denials of government officials. In fact, that denial that you're quoting sounds rather carefully worded to me. "Credible" is in the eye of the beholder so if any of the "non-credible" reports later turn out to be true he's covered. "Specific claims" rules out one specific possibility while leaving open other possibilities that people might be equally or, possibly, even more interested in.

Secondly, click your heels together three times, keep repeating the word "racist", and maybe you can make everyone forget about the Harris Administration's failed immigration policies but I wouldn't count on it.

You took a lot of words just to say that you believe the lies of your Orange God, even when refuted by local professionals.

    Pretty sad.

Also, i didn't realize that there was an actual "Harris Administration."

Oh, I see - you're just saying something that isn't true. Most people refer to that as lying. Pretty sad again, but why wouldn't a follower of a liar think it was OK to lie themselves?]

First, Trump is not my God. I'll have more to say about that later.

Secondly, saying something is plausible and that I'm keeping an open mind is not the same thing as saying I believe it.

Thirdly, I didn't realize that you were just trolling. I thought you might actually be interested in a discussion. Silly me.

Fourth, a lie isn't simply saying something that's untrue. It's saying something that's untrue with the intent to deceive. Using your definition calling Trump my "Orange God" is also a lie.

Fifth, I believe that Biden is a senile puppet and has been since before the inauguration so, imo, there isn't actually a Biden administration. The Democrats chose Kamala, at least partyly, because they were hoping she would gain some of the benefits of incumbency. I want her to be seen as the incumbent, too, so I'm happy to play along with their strategy and call it "The Harris Administration".

Finally, I don't actually talk about Trump all that much. Even when I post on Trump threads, it's not because I have any particular love/liking for Trump. While this thread does have bearing on the election, I actually have some interest in the topic itself. You, on the other hand, don't seem to post, or care, about much of anything but Trump. So much so, that hating Trump appears to have a religious element for you. It's rather ironic, then, that you referred to him as my "Orange God" since he appears to be a bigger element of your religion than he is of mine.

That sure was a lot of words to try to justify your saying things that are untrue as you shill for a criminal, rapist liar.

    Sounds fun!

What "Harris Administration"? She isn't president yet. Typical confused, low information MAGA post. Don't worry, though, someone still loves you.

I already answered this but I'm happy to copy and paste my previous answer.

I believe that Biden is a senile puppet and has been since before the inauguration so, imo, there isn't actually a Biden administration. The Democrats chose Kamala, at least partly, because they were hoping she would gain some of the benefits of incumbency. I want her to be seen as the incumbent, too, so I'm happy to play along with their strategy and call it "The Harris Administration".

    In your opinion, perhaps.

But then, you're just an extremely verbose lying troll with no substance.

Or did you think a 5 paragraph explanation using mistruths to justify the lies of your felon leader counted as "substance"? :)
