Not enough fema funds for Asheville ?

I think FEMA was obstructing. Many reports of FEMA confiscating supplies carried by rescue workers. They tried to close a medical tent run by ex special forces people. A guy working for Elon Musk said FEMA obstructed him when he was trying to deliver starlinks.

FEMA has the authority to coordinate all disaster rescue and recovery efforts. Especially multi-state disasters like Helene. Otherwise, you can have state officials from several states as well as city officials all trying to coordinate the post disaster effort. FEMA trains to handle this type of post disaster and is the reason FEMA exists!

 

Some posters are so far left and right they can't see that both sides are the issue. They are so tribal they think one side is actually good. Can't fix stupid.

The $750 is a one-time, emergency payment for immediate needs only. Each person in the affected area can apply for up to $42,500 from FEMA, and each property owner can ask for an additional $42,500 from FEMA, and those requests are being filled out now. Meanwhile, FEMA is still in the areas providing needed food, water, and shelter.

This kind of disinformation crap is also hurting fellow Americans. There are people out there refusing FEMA help because of all the lies coming from the MAGA world. It's crazy and harmful.
