Is his being a pompous asshole necessary during a disaster? There's a reason his presidential campaign went down in flames and this is why.
It is basically what he said. You just do not seem to like how he said it. If he started taking about supported versus supporting, most people would probably not pick up on what he was trying to get at. And you do not have 2 to 3 minutes to explain the difference when you are doing a TV spot and probably only have 3 to 4 minutes to address the questions the TV hosts have.
Yeah, he said it like a tough guy asshole and was trying to put down FEMA at the same time. Imagine if Trump were president, and a Democrat came out and said that same thing. Every Pub would be in melt down mode and that state would likely not get any aid.
Do you really thing it's constructive to say that he will stop FEMA from running amok? That we need his protection from FEMA?
After fema manufactured the hurricane, they will run amok. Next they will come for your guns. I'm sure someone in the magaverse is pushing that bullshit.
So you think him saying 'You are not going to see FEMA running amok in Florida' wasn't political given all the right-wing lies and attacks on FEMA lately?
Again, we are getting into PR communications strategy. It is not interesting to me and it is not something I have a lot of experience with. Dealing with the supported versus supporting is. I could speculate on why DeSantis is doing it but I'm not really interested in a lot of posting back and forth about it.
Not sure how you can dismiss his claim that FEMA is somehow the enemy that he's going to protect us from. It wasn't an accident and it is destructive.
LOL. He didn't bring it up, the press did and he answered it and said now isn't the time to play politics. But sure, go ahead and keep trying to make this like a he said, she said. Problem for harris is Biden already confirmed Desantis talked to him and literally said he's doing a great job LOL.
I think the contention is that someone in his administration, not him, brought it up to the press which triggered the follow up questions to him and Harris.
If a fellow can get in a word edgewise about the weather, thought this was interesting. Obviously high winds and heavy rains can wreak havoc, but the damage they’re showing on The Weather Channel doesn’t seem congruent with a Cat 2 storm much less a Cat 3 …
