Florida absolutely needs federal help, the first thing DeSantis mentioned in his presser yesterday was that the pre storm FEMA request had been approved and they were confident that that after storm request would be fulfilled too. There is a lot of coordination in that FEMA response required between the state and federal governments. And in saying that, I am not defending her actions because she was clearly playing politics…but they both were, I mean on the flip side if Trump had called he would have not only taken the call, he would have bragged about what a great convo it was and how thankful he was for his support, despite Trump having even less ability to help than her. It was also the RD side that leaked the fact that he wasn’t taking the calls from her. It likely would have stayed quiet otherwise. It is just sad that natural disasters now are front line politics. Nothing is sacred anymore.

Where did Kamala say DeSantis is doing a terrible job? She said he's playing politics, which is clearly true. That's all he does. Also, the Biden/DeSantis call occurred after DeSantis snubbed Harris. So DeSantis refused to take the first call from the administration, much like he refused to see Biden when Biden visited Florida last week.
DeSantis' little man syndrome apparently cause some passive aggressive snow-flaking when the people who actually succeeded at becoming presidential nominees try to work with him.
