It is stunning that BN runs the same offense, seemingly regardless of the defense or our personnel. If he showed any inkling of growth, aggressiveness, flexibility, etc then I might agree with you re: having him here for a long time. But as soon as he got a lead he holed up... again. Other coaches are too good at scheming to be predictable.
I am not new to this board. I did just sign up a started posting though. If someone acts like a jerk then that is what they are getting back from me. I don’t care if they have 1 mil posts or not. A jerk is a jerk. You get what you give. Period!
Second Big reference of the day for me. The reference you weren’t getting was from Armageddon. Specifically, this scene:
There will be haters no matter who we get but can you imagine how insufferable it would be for the usual broken records to be posting "lost to Sun Belt Billy" on every thread?
The Defensive Line coach is not translating techniques. I don’t see our guys striking , staying lower pad level, gap integrity, feet square, shoulder square , disengaging, and flat to the ball. We gotta start striking !!!! We titty pull and backs are waltzing thru their technique! A lot of our coaches are towel wavers. Just watch the sideline and you will get what I’m saying. But I guess they can recruit ok. Not being developed
Miami has a 3rd year coach, TAMU has a 1st year coach. While they are not bad losses it shows our expectations are incredibly low Billy isn’t going to get fired after a win though. If he can prove we are a Top 20 team then he keeps the job. If he doesn’t then he won’t. Top 20 in 3 years is a pretty low expectation
I think this is an important point for fans to remember. BN did not get in this position b/c he lost to UM this season. He got in this position b/c of two losing seasons and the fact that against the only 2 decent teams we played this year, we were not competitive. The body of work is simply bad and has put him on the chopping block, and only BN, his staff and the team showing significant progress (ie, winning record this year) starts to change that outcome. Another way to look at this. In a coaches first year some fans attack any loss or failure as a trusted indicator of that coach's failings. That analysis is premature without more data points. Similarly, in year 3 when a coach has repeatedly put out bad product, pointing to a UCF win seems a low value indicator of a coach's great potential.
Beat TN FSU and KY and it’s probably best to give him another year, if those wins are quality and you see him adapting and growing in to a sec coach. Best financially and continuity.
Ever hear two wrongs don’t make a right or you catch more flies with honey. Doesn’t hurt to turn the other cheek now and again and I have no dog in this squabble.
I think you’re just delaying the inevitable and setting yourself up for disappointment down the road. I don’t believe you grow into a SEC coach. At this point you either are or you are not.
Could be, some people just take longer to adjust. Just trying to keep an open mind and let the data points fall where they fall. There are tons of red flags and we’ll know a lot more Saturday.
Alert. Wing just spotted on LPGA Blvd in a golf cart full of women pulling titties, oops, I meant wheelies.
