The Federalist Society is not a conservative group as Robert Barnes warned over and over again. They recommended David Souter, for example. Barnes has said he will vet every Trump judicial nominee after he becomes our 47th (or 48th) president JD Vance and Don Jr want this to happen.

Tina Peter's got 9 years because of her lpolitical views, not for what she did (trying to uncover election fraud).
Obviously the judge is an idiot and his ruling will be overturned

In a previous post I suggested that the length of her sentence was attributable to her failure to show remorse or contrition. In retrospect the more significant reason was probably the fact that she was in a position of trust and that she openly violated her duty to the residents of the residents of Mesa County and the State of Colorado putting her political beliefs above the law and that she had absolutely no regret for doing so.

My favorite sentence of all time that has stood the test of time, from 1881:

“Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, in a few short weeks it will be spring. The snows of winter will flee away, the ice will vanish, and the air will become soft and balmy. In short, Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, the annual miracle of the years will awaken and come to pass, but you won’t be there.

The rivulet will run its soaring course to the sea, the timid desert flowers will put forth their tender shoots, the glorious valleys of this imperial domain will blossom as the rose. Still, you won’t be here to see.”

“From every treetop some wild woods songster will carol his mating song; butterflies will sport in the sunshine, the busy bee will hum happy as it pursues its accustomed vacation; the gentle breeze will tease the tassels of the wild grasses, and all nature will be glad, but you. You won’t be here to enjoy it because I command the sheriff or some other officers of the country to lead you out to some remote spot, swing you by the neck from a knotting bough of some sturdy oak, and let you hang until you are dead.”

“And then, Jose Manuel Miguel Xavier Gonzales, I further command that such officer or officers retire quickly from your dangling corpse, so that vultures may descend from the heavens upon your filthy body until nothing shall remain but bare, bleached bones of a cold-blooded, bloodthirsty, throat-cutting, sheep herding, murdering son of a bitch.”

Yes, the judge had obvious cow bias. Cattlemen and sheepherders dont get along given the sheep’s propensity to completely denude the range.

So you're saying that because she bought into Trump's false narrative regarding non-existent election fraud that should excuse her behavior? Although her behavior didn't involve violence the rationale isn't all that different from the excuse of the January 6th insurgents.

Thete's fraud in every election. Both sides do it but most of it is done by Democrats. The question is was there enough fraud to change election results?

There is probably election fraud in every election, the numbers are virtually never high enough to affect the outcome of the election and it's committed equally by voters of both parties. In case you may have forgotten.

Anecdotal evodence doesn't show the Pubs and Dems commit fraud equally. Without better election laws/rules in many (mostly blue) ststes it's pretty hard to estimate the amount of fraud.

If your life depended on getting the answer to the following question right, what answer would you give (assuming the answer could be determined):

In the 2020 election were there more fraudulent Pub or Dem ballots?

You can say Trump didn't prove his case in court, but one reason for that is that biased and corrupt judges would not let the cases go forward

When Dems are brainwashed to think Trump is Hitler and a "threat to our democracy" why wouldn't they commit fraud?

Chris Krebs, a lifelong Republican, a former senior executive at Microsoft, and the Director of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (DHS CISA) characterized the 2020 election as the most secure in history. He was canned by Trump for telling the truth one of the many qualified Trump appointees who were canned by the president who appointed them for actually placing the rule of law above loyalty to the former president.
Trump Fires Election Security Director Who Corrected Voter Fraud Disinformation

Trump fires agency head who vouched for 2020 vote security

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump fired the nation’s top election security official, a widely respected member of his administration who had dared to refute the president’s unsubstantiated claims of electoral fraud and vouch for the integrity of the vote. While abrupt, the dismissal Tuesday of Christopher Krebs, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, was not a surprise. Since his loss, Trump has been ridding his administration of officials seen as insufficiently loyal and has been denouncing the conduct of an election that led to an embarrassing defeat to Democrat Joe Biden.
