Thanks for getting the results up so quickly, Smoot - MUCH appreciated brother! We've all been there. You just have to refine the process by which you are choosing your picks. That's what it's about. Give it some thought......that's all that's needed!
It's a crap shoot. I got every pick right twice and then had a mishmash of results the other weeks. It is affecting some of the games I actually watch, though.
Brutal week for a bunch of folks. My picks tanked this week too. I think I got 4pts here on the Smoot and missed 4 of 5 picks on the panel.
Had NC state just held on those last few seconds I would've had 12. But I'll settle for the 8. Thank you Pitt.
Seems like I do best when almost everyone else has a terrible week. NC State was my 4 point pick and they blew it on their home field. Not for that I would have aced it.
For once I got lucky. 8/11 between the two pools. I knew I shouldn’t have picked against my brother’s alma mater Texas Tech. AZ let me down.
Really, it was just a crazy week in football all together (Pros included). It just happens. Imagine if I would have had the Bama/Vandy game available... EVERYONE would have lost 5 points on that!
Also, I've got Hurricane Milton coming straight for my face! I should be able to make the Week 07 thread tomorrow, but depending on the storm's track I might be without power at some point. I was supposed to go to the Keys fishing this coming weekend...
The keys may be a great place to be. Hard to say at this point. The bite is always great after a storm in northern gulf.
I have a friend who owns a condo in Everglades City (not the Keys, but south of Naples) and he's still got 2 feet of water in there from Helene. I really feel for the people in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete, Sarasota area.
My parents are in Vero and of course weren’t affected but they are on their way up here for this one. It looks to be going lower.
