The defense is that Trump did not hand out guns and clubs and start the shooting (and other violence) himself. Either that, or "if the glove does not fit, you must acquit". He meant to shout, "You're fired" in the movie theater, but it came out wrong. He asked for "more violins", not "more violence". He "tried the baby oil, the carnauba oil, and some other oils, but nothing worked." You know, the usual.

The ancient Trump Pyramid in Mexico collapsed over the summer, and members of the local indigenous tribe see it as a warning: after consulting with the stars, they believe that Trump will lose the election. The fact that the southern wall collapsed first indicates that the southern states will be surprisingly be called for Harris before the rest of the states fall her way. If any states fall to Trump, they will probably be the latrine, or what is known in the tribe vernacular as "sh!thole", states. Representatives for the tribe said the cause of the collapse was pressure building within the campaign. The pyramid was 1100 years old.

1,100-year-old stone pyramid collapses — and one tribe sees it as a 'bad omen'

It's a rarity for the swing states to split. They all tend to fall the same way on Election Day.

this is so damning. djt told Pence he was going to have to blame him and then he went and sent the mob after him

this is sworn testimony and documents admissible in court. the fact that this man is eligible to run is a disgrace to our system

Filing in Trump case details remarkable schism with Pence over rejecting 2020 election loss (msn.com)

Meeting privately in the Oval Office on Jan. 5, the defeated president told his vice president once more, “I think you have the power to decertify." When Pence was unmoved, Trump threatened to criticize him publicly: “I'm going to have to say you did a great disservice.” This concerned Pence, the prosecutor wrote, and the vice president's Secret Service detail was alerted.

Trump called Pence later that evening, with his lawyers, to again raise the issue of sending the electors back to the states. Trump called Pence again late that night: “You gotta be tough tomorrow.”

The next morning, Jan. 6, before Trump took the rally stage, he made one more call to Pence. When Pence again refused the request, the prosecutor wrote, Trump was incensed.

Trump reinserted remarks targeting Pence into his speech. And Trump sent a crowd of angry supporters to the Capitol.

He did use the word "peaceful" once in a speech close to an hour in length and despite his inflammatory language and his obvious and intentional errors of omission that absolves him of all responsibility for the events of January 6th.

I've got so many jokes in my head about the black MAGA vendor in a fight with 3 other white MAGA vendors. But I'm not sure they're acceptable jokes in 2024.

Jobs report for September is out, and the jobs situation is red hot. If Trump was hoping for unemployed people to vote for him, he bet on the wrong horse. The job increase for September was more than 100,000 greater than what was predicted. One more nail in Trump's political coffin.

I'm a little surprised at the jobs report. Industrial companies in my region have been laying off people. Someone else must be hiring.

Prices have increased 20% since 2020, but most of that is the Covid effect, plus Trump's tariffs that Biden has kept in place. Not much to blame Harris for.

A messaging battle is set for the final days of 2024 campaign: 16 million jobs vs. 20% higher prices

Now we know why Trump's fans are leaving his rallies early. Trump shows up an hour late, hurls insults non-stop, and drones on and on endlessly. Some people are saying they are voting for Harris as they leave their Trump rally.

Revealed: The real reason why people are leaving Donald Trump’s rallies as he is still on stage

Harris has increased her lead over Trump in Pennsylvania from 4% in August to 5% in October. Not looking good for the felon.

Trump, desperate for attention, is returning to Butler, PA to relive his heroics and survival of the assassination attempt. His policies have been whittled down to insulting political opponents and bragging about himself while people walk out of his rallies. He doesn't have time to work on his "concept of a plan" because he is working non-stop on new insults. He is slowly morphing into the Don Rickles of the national political scene (even though Walz looks far more like Rickles). No word on whether he will do a free re-enactment of the assassination attempt, or will require a minimum number of Trump bibles to be sold before he does it (you know he wants to do it). The only unsettled issues are whether they will use live ammunition, and whether one of the attendees will be shot and killed. (The practice of sacrificing one of the rally attendees will be known as Trumpian Roulette.) How sad.

How many more times can Trump go to the assassination well and pick up a quarter percentage point in poll ratings, while he loses a half point in between assassination attempts with his failure to articulate any details of his vision for an extremely white and non-diverse America?

Trumped enjoyed a "crass" joke at the expense of the woman who's husband was killed at the Butler rally assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. Apparently, he's going to Butler, PA today to rub the woman's face in it during his next rally. Hopefully, the woman does not own a gun.

Trump rehashing some of his same lies at the Butler rally. Those 13,000 convicted murderers just recently entered the country. $750 is all that Helene victims will get. Believe it or not, he actually claimed the Olympic boxer used to be a man. There's really no depths that he won't sink to.
I really wonder what the crowd thinks.
"He's right, you know. That boxer used to be a man. And Harris personally let in all those murderers."
    Or
"Yeah, he's full of crap. But gas prices were lower."

The longer Harris keeps an edge over Trump, the more deranged and desperate he will become. We all knew this.

Neither. They probably just quickly check to make sure everyone else is going along with the BS. That's their barometer.

He also said it's not safe for people to identify themselves as Harris voters.

He is telling his cultists to hurt people that don't vote for him.

Trump goes old school. I'm talking, REALLY old school. Most backwards republicans would be happy with a return to the 1950's, but not Trump. He wants to go back to the 1890's. He believes that William McKinley's tariffs on imported goods made Americans the wealthiest they have ever been. For the billionaires of the day, he's probably (almost) right. The truth is, the billionaires of the 1890's were greatly advantaged in their pursuit of financial wealth by the legality of monopolies and a near complete lack of regulations on corporations. No doubt, once Trump is a supreme dictator, he will get rid of those pesky anti-trust laws.

Another irony is that by the end of McKinley's time in office, he realized that tariffs were holding America's economy back, not helping it. He realized the benefits of having international trading partners. A third irony, if you want to call it that, is that McKinley was assassinated while he was in Buffalo to give a speech promoting reduced tariffs and free trade. Maybe if McKinley wasn't killed, Trump wouldn't be so stupid.

Another thing that Trump doesn't talk about when he talks about McKinley, the economy was in the crapper almost his entire time in office. There was a depression in 1893 - 1897, and a recession from 1899 - 1900. But the billionaires were doing well.

Why Donald Trump talks so much about William McKinley

I suppose we should be grateful that Trump doesn't want to take us back to the time of the Salem Witch Trials, although with his ideas on immigrants, that might still be an option for him.
