I agree, we would never hear the end of it if we lost to the national champs at home.

I agree, Lagway is an amazing talent. I love Mertz as well. Both have played pretty well and Mertz has been a great leader.

I pray that we can keep Lagway. I love him as a person, leader and player. He has the potential to be the next true Gator great!

 

Don’t forget that it was not long ago that UCF was a commuter school. It has made a lot of progress in a relatively short time. Their fans, like all fans, are proud of their team. I remember when we were thrilled the first time the Gators moved into the top 25.

 

They should be proud, just like we are proud of our alma mater. IMO, them claiming a MNC was a bad look. Just like when the semis made rings for going 13-1 or being the state champs. We all know how insufferable they would be if they beat big brother in the swamp. Glad we sent them out on a rail.

 

I should add that our grandson was the football equipment equipment manager for the past two years and graduated. I have an undergrad and law degree from UF. I’ll always be a Gator!

 

He graduated this year.

Gates (13) on this play as well as Denson has this season, attack when they blitz from the nickle better than any DB we’ve had imo. They don’t pu$$yfoot and I LOOOVE that for them. Wish we could have them both on the field at the same time. CJ Henderson and Purifoy were great at blitzing too
