Fair enough but what I saw was one game against a one dimensional opponent coming off a buy week at home. We shut down in the second half, as you said, and that is a repeated pattern of BN where he only gets innovative/aggressive when forced. One data point amidst two years plus (including UM game this year) of data does not move the needle on BN for me. But he certainly has an opportunity to change the conversation this weekend. Unfortunately, my rational mind says this is highly unlikely.
No problem , but I do get picked on a lot. I’m that kid in grade school that got beat up in recess every day
For a team to function in a championship culture each side of the ball must compliment each other. I think in the first half we did that well. The second half for the most part the offense just stopped attacking vertically and the attack was very deliberate, trying to shorten the game . It was unsuccessful requiring the defense to be on the field way too much. Iam one of the very few that want Billy to be our coach for a long time but not attacking the vertical seams was insane . Needed to hit the tight ends off play action/ RPO
The Gators are certainly not where we want them to be, but at 3-2 with our losses coming against what may end up to be two top - 10 teams combined at 11-1 right now. I think it is still a little hard to gage where exactly we are at this season. The next two games are going to decide this season for BN. He will have to come out of this at least splitting the games. The SEC right now has become "any given Saturday" conference. Looking ahead: If we could somehow keep that theme alive and go into TX beating them while they are undefeated. That would probably make up for a lot of misery we have suffered through the past couple years. I know it is an unlikely and even miraculous event... But one can wish! Beat Tennessee!
Actually it WAS successful because they won and it was not close. I do agree that in a lot of cases the prevent model prevents a win. In this case no.
Winning is championship culture. Losing is not. Ask Alabama how their championship culture tastes today.
Yes indeed. I said it awhile ago. Jedd could be our guy. That Washington team was gutted when he got there and they are now starting to “get it”!
I don’t personally have an opinion on the big money boosters but I wonder if they are who Saban was referring to as the unknown problem., Our best coaches have left and we haven’t had much luck recruiting the top coaches. Would Kiffen be interested and if not? Why? Coaches I’m sure speak to each other so they know more than we do if there’s issues behind closed doors.
Maybe you just don’t get it. Hmmmmm… It’s ok, I think you will get over this. Dont worry, be happy. Gators won!
