The mound in front of my house is only slightly smaller. And half the houses nearby have a significant pile, as not a single item has been removed from our street yet. This could get really bad.

PC: the majority of the debris removal will be focused on the coastal areas

Thanks River. Yes, Tampa. We live on a river that feeds into upper Tampa bay.

Throwing out an idea, but maybe throw a few ropes over your pile and stake it into the ground. May prevent it from becoming as airborne?

Went to fill up earlier and the lines are already forming. A lot of traffic buzzing around for a Sunday.

I may have exaggerated a bit. It’s bad but not that bad.

1000s of Tons…. Like every low community has lined the curb, 6 feet high, with damaged furniture, appliances, drywall, flooring … also heard from boaters that there is som much debris already in the gulf and bay that they can’t use their boats safely.

if we get another storm surge it is going to be a complete mess.

Not sure if that is better or worse for water going into the bay. Certainly worse for Sarasota.

Worse for South but good for the bay area. Anything South will push water out of the bay not into it.

Yeah, we should probably pause sand removal until the end of the week... High likelihood of starting over...
