Take the win. Wish they’d played aggressive in the second half but the clock management was pretty spot on. On to the Vols!
Horrible play calling the 2nd half. Defense played their best overall game in a long time. Got the win, which is all that matters I guess.
Happy with the win. Very much so. But also not comfortable with the announcers declaring we snapped our losing streak at home against “Power 4” opponents. That might be technically accurate, but we all know it isn’t wholly true. Central Fla is a directional school that is only in the Big 12 because the SEC poached its primary members away. You know, when I was still in the Marine Corps, I once had a boss who repeatedly and earnestly referred to himself as a “former Division I athlete.” Again, technically accurate. But the whole truth was that he rowed for the Naval Academy.
Very similar to last year’s game against Tennessee. Ecstatic for the win. But it portended that things weren’t as great as they should be.
No one suffers a loss as well as us. Hell, F$U fans are practically thrilled to have lost so close because they found a better QB. Not good, but better.
So relieved! The thought of losing to this team made me sick to my stomach. Lagway is an amazing talent. The boy can spin the ball for sure. Was a bit disappointed in the run blocking. seemed many plays got stopped real close to the line of scrimmage. Were able to get a few good ones off but they were few. Pass blocking was weak too I thought. There wasn't a lot of time to throw in the 2nd half. FYI: If I remember correctly the last time Gus Malzahn was in the Swamp was with Auburn in 2019. He lost by the same score then too, 24-13.
Academy brats are always like that, unless they played football. The two I knew were the most laid back officers I served under.
