I would be okay with that except for the fact that if they called it on us it'd be targeting all day.
"Targeting" as in targeting the head did not happen on that play. Lagway was thrust in front of the UCF dude after the UCF dude had already left his feet. I don't know how that would be targeting.
So, our plan is run out the clock, play not to lose. Thankfully, ucf doesn't seem to have a fast break offense.
If you don't know how it would be targeting refer to all the other garbage targeting calls that are allowed to stand.
I don’t necessarily have an issue with the “milking the clock for an entire half” strategy. But, I think if you are on the hot seat, and the guy everyone thinks is the most likely replacement is a hotshot Spurrier clone … I’d be trying to score a lot of points and show everyone that you can score a lot of points on a decent team.
These screens need to stop or be reduced. I don’t understand why Billy was so aggressive in the first half with downfield passing with runs to compliment it then go into a run, run, screen pass offense in the 2nd half. It’s freaking mind boggling.
