I laughed all summer long when we made a "scrimmage" seem like some sort of game practice reserved for just a few select practices a year... while I was screaming that we should be scrimmaging every single day that we can go full on pads.

Now we hear from the announcers that JUST NOW said we started scrimming in practice as a main part of practice, and you can see that results... That's why you scrimmage every time you can go full speed before and during the season...

 

Shouldn't be thinking about what ifs against an inferior defense. Bury them. Send them into the locker room totally defeated.

 

And more importantly, it's a trend that's gone on for 3 years

Mertz has better command of the offense that's why that last series was bland.

And people also get tired of conservative play calling that lets the air out of the ball with a chance to score a TD. We could/should have scored a TD on that last drive. But Billy took the air out of the ball and started playing for a FG with 21 seconds left in the half and the ball on the 22 yard line.

 

When the announcers were talking about this revelation…. A solid, smdh. No wonder we play without any effort, that’s how we practice. As one of the old Gators said, we have a M-Th problem

 

UCF finally getting their run game going?

 

Getting a lot of yards after initial contact!

 

Playing scared would have been packing it in with only 48 seconds left and going into the locker room with a 18 point lead.

Instead we go 46 yards in 48 seconds and extended our lead.

 

Second Half adjustments is an issue

 

Gus realized he got too far away from it in the first half. They won’t do much or win though.

 

Exactly... You could easily tell that was what was the missing element to this coaching staff... DUHHH.

 

Why don't they knock the runner's legs down?
