That might have been our best half of football since maybe the Tennessee game last year.. Yeah I know it’s UCF but the D seems to be playing with more fire than I’ve seen in forever. And wow we actually stacked the box and ran some blitzes.

I think playing scared has gotten us here. Everybody knows you take a shot at the end zone with that kinda time and then run out the FG team. Now you can say DJ is a freshman and not too versed in the two minute drill…fine. But your justification is no good for a team that has its back against the wall and is used to playing possum instead of coming out swinging.

OK opinions. DJ or Mertz to get the first series in the second half? I was really happy with the first half but would like to see DJ get a little bit more meaningful playing time. He’s going to be our guy going forward hopefully for at least a couple more years.
But there was a significantly less chance of scoring a TD than a chip shot FG. What you meant is "risk" momentum for a chance to add 4 additional points or..... breath life back into the UCF team by giving them a big time stop in the RZ and giving the ball right back to start the half.
Nobody is bitching about a field goal to go up 21. We're bitching about calling a QB draw with 20 seconds and only 1 timeout left. That's objectively bad game management
