The party of small government, asking the government to intervene and force people to do things?

Well, at least Florida isn't doing this . . . yet:

Using state funds to simultaneously violate the Constitution and enrich Donald Trump. Disgusting.

Pathetic behavior from DeSantis as usual, but it is to be expected.

They're still conducting rescue efforts in Western North Carolina. There are people who have no idea if their loved ones are alive or not. And DeSantis is on TV talking a bunch of bullshit to try and claim political credit. It's pathetic. It is sad that we continue to put the worst of our society in elected office. I am repulsed by the narcissism.

Oh but you didn't have a problem with the critisism of Trump's recovery efforts when he was in office.

Are we talking about when Trump threatened to withhold aid to blue states and states that had governors who criticized him? (Additionally, DeSantis was lying about Florida's state guard being the first ones there. But that's in keeping with his character.)

Got it. DeSantis lying to score political points while rescues are still being carried out during a natural disaster is okay because Tim Walz lied previously about something irrelevant. Good to know. As I said before, DeSantis is pathetic. So pathetic your defense is "other politicians are bad too!" LOL indeed.

He tried to claim that the Florida rescue teams were on the ground in North Carolina before the federal teams got there. It's a lie. There were already federal search and rescue teams on the ground when DeSantis sent the Florida teams. It's a pathetic attempt at trying to score political points during an ongoing disaster.

Listen to him he said basically that many people in Western North Carolina were seeing Florida assets there before federal government people. That is not a lie.

That's a great interpretation. DeSantis was criticizing the federal government for using the people Florida sent on the frontlines. Makes him sound like an even bigger clown. :emoji_joy:

8 days ago, FEMA had already deployed search and rescue teams in North Carolina:
FEMA, Federal Family Helene Response Update
Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) deployed a total of 24 teams (over 1,270 personnel) to affected states. In Florida, eight US&R teams are actively responding. All teams are equipped with Swift Water Rescue Capabilities. In Georgia, two teams are deployed to support rescue operations. In North Carolina there are four teams. Additional teams and four Swift Water Mission Ready Packages are in route to the impacted areas.
