The judge took seriously her crime of allowing unauthorized people to monkey around with voting data in CO and subsequent lies. Listening to the judge deliver her comeuppance in the 10 minute video was heartening. I look forward to similar sentencing to even bigger fish.

Tina Peters, former Colorado clerk, sentenced to 9 years behind bars in election interference case

Judge Barrett sentenced Peters to eight-and-a-half years in the Colorado Department of Corrections for counts one, two, four, and six, and the additional time in the Mesa County Detention Center for counts eight, nine and 10.

Peters had pleaded not guilty to all counts in 2022. The charges stemmed from Peters allowing a county security card to be misused to give a man access to the Mesa County election system and for deceiving other officials about that man's identity. That man was affiliated with My Pillow chief executive Mike Lindell. Lindell is a prominent promoter of false claims that voting machines were manipulated to steal the election from Trump.

Need strong consequences for voter fraud and thus send a strong message. Or acts intended to support voter fraud.

She had the nerve to stand in front of the judge and say, "I know you agree with me."

Considering her age ~ 68 or so, that is a tough sentence.

Must suck for her to know that on one hand Trump should easily win this election and give her the pardon she deserves, then sentence that mean judge to death … but on the other hand the deep state communist election stealers won’t allow that to happen. Rough time for her.

This just proves that the justice department is corrupt, right?

Matthew Barrett is clearly a chicom puppet, deep-state marxist.

Well he directly addressed that. It was part of her insincere sword-falling.

Pretty lenient compared to, say, public hanging. Which is what her chosen crowd advocates for, regardless of age.

If people are getting multiple years in jail for voting even when they had good reason to think they were eligible to vote, this doesn't seem that harsh.

Also, here's the bodycam footage of her arrest to enjoy. Spoiler: she behaves exactly as you expect she would.
