I remember eating at an Ethiopian restaurant in Little Five Points called the African brown bag. At the time Ethiopia was in the midst of a famine. It was very good Italian influenced African dishes. People joked about famine on the way in. Everybody was full on the way out.

It's unreal how Trump, even after everyone, including his running mate, have admitted the story was a hoax, he's continuing to attack the Haitian Community in Ohio. In the past he's even threatened to deport US citizens who dare to criticize him. Nothing authoritarian about that at all. Yet they adore him for it.

I live in NC, and I can assure you, ever single Pub politician is pretty much a piece of shit in this state. They have gerrymandered that crap out of the state such that they have managed to secure a super majority in what is pretty much a 50/50 state. And with their super majority, they are doing everything they can to suppress democratic votes. ID laws. Voter purges. etc. All calculated to give them an edge. For Gov, they have put up a holocaust denying, zero-abortion (despite he and his wife having one) supporter, loud mouth creep. For School Superintendent, they have put up a home schooller that was calling for the public execution of Obama, and says the schools are a cesspool of evil and lies. It is pretty clear, the Pubs have had a strategy to try and take over state politics so that they can then take over National politics. Until sanity returns, I will not support a single Pub for any election.
