It was Weinke. He went straight to baseball out of HS and since he never entered college he was still eligible once he washed out as a pro in baseball.

 

Actually it would be more accurate to say "try lots of colleges."

Dude has some dumb handlers.

 

Redshirting and transferring isn't new - the Houston QB (Kyle Trask's HS teammate) did it and transferred to Miami. Worked out well since he also got the Covid year.

slightly different situation…the head coach at Houston asked that qb and others to redshirt after they started like 1-3 or something. They were all gonna come back the next year for a run. Except the qb transferred instead.
