It doesn't matter. The narrative is out there and the believers are going to believe. The believers we have on this site still believe even when the lies are pointed out to them clearly and concisely with facts - as you've done here. The believers that aren't being challenged? They're just lost to this post-truth world forever.
If the q anon caucus gave a damn, they'd get their lazy asses back from recess and pass a funding bill to address this. Scumbags.
Just to be clear: The story says absolutely nothing about FEMA not having enough money for Asheville, correct?
Scrolling from thread to thread to thread. Repeatedly seeing Trumppublican leaning posters post absolute untruths......and then just walk away. Is it really the job of, well, everyone to police grown adults into at least trying to respect facts and the truth? To at least acknowledge that that is important? How has this dynamic become acceptable? * To be fair, I did see one Trump supporter admit that the thread he'd started was based on a total falsehood.
They really wish to avoid the cognitive dissonance that arises from being proven wrong. Posting falsehoods and running like scared children gives them that same dopamine hit they get from listening to their orange god's rants.
Gateway Pundit breaks a lot of stories but fairly often their ducks aren't aligned properly, so draw your own conclusion: Biden-Kamala Regime Burns $1 BILLION in FEMA Funds to Resettle Illegal Immigrants — FEMA Now Lacks Resources for Disaster Response! | The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hᴏft
Hateway definitely breaks stories… all the time. It breaks out the facts and includes only it’s revised fiction.
I posted this in the Hellene thread because you can have duplicates if it is for leftists: Kamala's Disgraceful Offer to Hurricane Helene Victims (townhall.com) You won't read choosing to keep your blinders on, but at least the opportunity has been presented.
I'd be interested in hearing you elaborate on this. As VP, Harris was in charge of precisely which funding that was misspent? I don't want to just bust out that 'L' word on all your posts......but shouldn't you have at least the slightest imperative to post things that are generally or mostly true? Interested to see you substantiate this. Waiting.
So, we've had claims that Biden cut off all funding for Helena four days ago. Claims that there's no money to help Asheville - based on a story that says absolutely nothing about that. We've had Trump claim Biden won't return Gov. Kemp's calls, which was simply made up. And yet the claims continue on and on that the federal government isn't doing anything or nearly enough to help. And all of this, every bit of it, is based on politics. "Hey, let's make up bad stuff about the other side! Because that's what responsible, reasonable adults always do!"
You mean the diversion of FEMA funds that originated and was signed by your hero Donald Trump in 2019? Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border Act, 2019 (2019 - H.R. 3401)
The US allocated millions of FEMA dollars to people in this country illegally and now we need millions more for actual American citizens to rebuild after the storm. And yet you blame the Republicans for this? With Biden handing out another $8B to Ukraine last week (with $1M specifically earmarked to protect Ukraine art from being stolen- file that under things you can’t make up) bring that tab to almost $70B and the billions spent on immigrants entering this country illegally, when does the well run dry?
It's a fair question but also a slightly different conversation. The one thing a federal government should do is provide relief for emergencies and natural disasters
It’s really not even a fair question since one (Ukraine aid) has literally nothing to do with the other (FEMA). I fully encourage Republicans to come back from recess and vote NO on whatever supplemental aid is eventually necessary for FEMA and long term Helene relief. That grandstanding is sure to be a winner… this time.
Yeah right, not. That was passed for emergency border appropriations. It took the Harris administration to take abuse the law. Draining budgeted FEMA funding as a solo administration act is 100% on the Harris administration.
Exactly this. The closer the election gets and the better Harris does in the polls more and more posters are willingly dropping their masks.
Oh yes. I see now. When Trump did it it was fine. When Biden did it is wasn't fine. You continue to show you aren't a serious individual.
