Its the by-product of expecting a third grade insult-riddled realty tv moment, but watching an actual debate. It was a staunch reminder of how far Trump has sullied civility.

Speaking of freedom of speech one candidate threatened to revoke the license of a major broadcast network because he was butt hurt over the moderation of his debate. If freedom of speech is on the ballot that candidate must be defeated.
Trump threatens ABC's broadcast license after rocky debate performance

If you're calling the debate even that's a good indication of who won. At some point down the road I think JD will give some credit to his wife Usha for his tone perfect performance. Vance positioned himself nicely for a future presidential run. So far he's come out on top in every interview with a hostile reporter. Another big win for Robert Barnes, who had a lot to do with Trump picking JD

News channels had several undecided panels saying the ending solidified them to move to Harris/Walz based on the election denial. Came off really poorly. Panels are notoriously unrepresentative of the broader population though.

If he lied about his son being at that community center shooting, that'll be all she wrote. Betting odds are very close to going in Trump's favor as of this morning.

Granted I'm biased and think Trump trying to overthrow the election in various ways is literally the only issue I care about in this election. But Vance having to dodge the direct question on if Trump won the election or not was definitely the defining moment of the debate for me.

The debate also reiterated to me that I think Vance just sees Trump as a means to an end and doesn't necessarily believe all the MAGA nonsense. He's just forced to ride that train in an attempt to become president some day. It could be naive on my part to think that, and doesnt change ho loathsome I think that Trump ticket is.

The details are widely known. Gus Walz was in the building when the shooting occurred in the parking lot at the Jimmy Lee, which sits on the corner of Selby Avenue across Lexington from Central High School. Gus “helped keep everyone safe and calm, looking after the kids in the gym”

FYI: Jack Kimble isn't a real person. That being said there are actual members of Congress who are more of a joke than the fictional Kimble, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Jim Jordan and Clay Higgins coming immediately to mind.

Not religious myself but you seem to be (liberalism is your religion, perhaps?)

From what I've read about 1% of the abortions we hear about (10,000 per year) are babies that are roughly 22 weeks or further along. These are babies that weigh a pound or more and are about 11 inches long or beyond. If they are given medical treatment they can survive if born at this early age. Seems to me if a baby is born at this age due to a botched abortion it should receive medical care. Babies of this age should not be aborted in the first place imo. At 22 weeks a baby has surprising grip strength
It. Can hear it's mother's blood flow and see light directed at its mothers stomach

Seems weird to want to kill babies at 22 weeks and beyond.

The abortions that most of us never hear about are the ones women give themselves by swallowing a pill. You can get these pills by mail without seeing a doctor in person. Some people buy the pills in Mexico

That's a little harsh, calling poor Barry a "third grader", but I get your point.

Gator95, I know your "funny" emojis are the best you're able to come up with, but if that's the case, and an intelligent response is beyond you, how about just not posting?

This is my biggest takeaway from last night. Kamala clearly picked someone who she felt she could control. Shapiro was the obvious logical choice, but she went with Elmer Fudd, because too much chance a guy like Shapiro would outshine her. Trump, otoh, went with a young, polished Ivy League lawyer. And you've noticed that Trump doesn't hide JD Vance. Vance is on TV giving a new interview every day. Making public appearances every day. And often Vance is on his own as opposed to just being Trump's shadow wherever Trump goes. Where has Walz been? In the closet of Kamala's basement is where he's been. (pun may have been intended)
