Basketball needs something similar to stop non contact flops. Quick review. Take off the foul from the defender and give it to the offender plus a free throw. Simple measures but the powers that be seem to be reluctant to address this stuff. In football they could also hit them with a delay of game.
I think the flops have been curbed quite a bit the last few years. Definitely need to get tougher here.
Ole Miss-KY was about the only game I watched a lot of this weekend. Ole Miss DL looked pretty stout as did KY's. Neither OL looked good, particularly the Ole Miss OL.
Another judgement call for the refs....heck they can't even get the charge/block call right half the time.
Doesn't have to be judgment though. If a player claims he made no contact review it. They have lebron faking eye injuries when a player wasn't within 6 inches of touching him clear as day.
The worst flipper is LeBron! He couldn’t act in a nursery school play. He slides on his butt 45 feet under the scorers table whining he was hacked - video replays show he wasn’t touched. I never understood why one of the leagues best all time players pulls this crap.
Well, to be fair the Scepter was just dumb. The players looked like they didn't know what to do with it. They couldn't put it around their waist like a belt or around their neck like a necklace, nor could they sit on it like a thrown, so they they just looked silly
To me it was his killer mindset. 6 for 6 in nba finals. On the biggest stage he smelt blood and always left with the ring. And his surrounding cast aside for Pippen and Rodman, we're just good role players and journeymen. Once LeBron left Cleveland the 1st time, he didn't arrive at a new team without a couple of All stars or other HOFers. And still managed to lose more finals than win.
