What fans have quit? Having watched the Gators win and lose for 61 years, the great majority of fans cheer for the Orange and Blue regardless of the win-loss record. Recall: In All Kinds of Weather

 

89 and 112 is probably no different considering the competition. We should be able to do just as well as Colorado if not better.

 

I could swing it if I lived in Gainesville, but I cannot afford hotels and travel Just to be pissed off. I think we will win Saturday though.

 

I would bet Texas A&M has a good bit more talent than UCF

 

Gator Nation has a legit reason to be skeptical about the defense in the upcoming game.

If the Gators win (or lose) I expect a relatively high scoring affair like MS State.

 

As the announcers in the MSU game kept say that Roberts said our defensive guys don't trust each other and that makes me think they play out of position, which leads to missed tackles. Hopefully, they solved that in the bye week. We should keep a spy on Jefferson.

 

While I appreciate your optimism, I have extreme doubts that a bye week will offer UF any solutions to the defensive disaster, that has come to be recognized as a program trait, over the last three years, and 4 games into this current season.

Perhaps Napier should find a place for Charlie Strong in his "consultant army".

 

The UK QB carried 17 times against Ole Miss. they extended drives with lots of QB scrambles, going for it on fourth, and drawing penalties.

Arkansas and A&M ran their QBs over ten times. Same for Auburn and Oklahoma.

Take DJ off the leash. Mertz can run too and we have less worry about protecting him. Extend drives and take stress off the defense.

I worry for the opposite, like what A&M did. 99 yard drives, four yards rush over and over.

 

best post ever. We have issues against mobile QB’s and have a QB who’s modest at running straight Mertz and one that’s not Lamar Jackson but very mobile in DJ….run them too.

 

He’s been on my list for some time now. In the “constant title changing” CBN thread, I threw it out over Lane and Gundy.

To steer back on topic, UCF may score on us, but I don’t see their paper thin defense stopping our offense. I’d take UF by two TDs on Saturday.

I have no idea what his personality is like - if he’s an emotional type like so many people here want, or more stoic. But his coaching record impresses me
