    I guess I'm in the minority here, but I like the byes. The regular season needs to maintain its importance, see college basketball for what happens when that goes away.

    Winning your conference needs to have stakes, more than just "winner is #1 seed, loser is #3 seed" which would happen in the SEC and just isn't terribly significant.
