Refs missed two obvious calls in a row and when the KY coached challenged they were quickly reversed. Our girls got several in the net calls at key points that just killed our momentum.
Both teams have been dealing with injuries and have youngsters in key roles. Kentucky was much more consistent with Florida today. We had 4 set points in that last set and just couldn't get that big play to take it to a 5th set. Kentucky was the better team today. Their setter had 48 assists out of their team's 58 total. The Gators had only 46 assists total, with Parks having 28 and Stuckey 11. They had 61 kills to our 50, hitting .358 to our .242. Just gotta learn from the loss and move on. We get the week off and then host Texas next Sunday at 1 pm on ESPN. Hopefully, they'll be up for the challenge because Texas has won back to back national titles.

Kennedy Martin got off to a slow start, but ended up having a monster match. Taylor Parks fed her very well overall. Martin had 25 kills and hit .412. Jaela Auguste had a very good match, but didn't get the ball enough, IMO. Fitzpatrick was great against Oklahoma the other night, but had a bad game today, hitting -.222. Kentucky had their superstar, Brooklyn Deleye, playing great as well, with 25 kills of her own. But their supporting cast outplayed ours. Hate to lose to them at home, but they earned the win.
