Before Lanes comes to Titletown: 1. SC at Columbia 2. LSU at Death Valley 3. OK at Oxford 4. Arkansas at Fayetteville 5. Georgia at Oxford 6. Florida 7. Miss State at Oxford
I'd say uga is the only where I'd say more likely than not but lsu, Oklahoma, and Arkansas are potential. I don't think they lose those but wouldn't be surprised if they drop one + uga.
I didn't want him before he lost but am resigned to it being him. I would rather have the KState HC Klieman 4 NCAA Division I FCS (2014–2015, 2017–2018) 5 MVFC (2014–2018) 1 Big 12 (2022)
I'll guess three more losses mainly because they are not a deep team at all. I hope they do worse if only because Kiffin has made faking injuries a formal part of their game strategy.
Who knows if Ole Miss will even win next weekend? South Carolina is 3-1, only loss is by a field goal to LSU. Game is at home and they had a bye this week. Ole Miss might be crazy overrated and Gamecocks might be underrated.
That should be 15 yards and an ejection of the player and a one game suspension of the coach. They can call it, the Lebum rule.
The Ole Miss faithful in TheRant despise his OC... He would need a new one if he were to come to Gainesville. Maybe he can try out an ex-Gator QB for OC? Lol... At any rate, he needs a new OC for sure.
There were many other instances where Ole Miss players blatantly faked injuries, course none were as obvious as this one. Honestly, I think all injury stoppages, even if legit, should result in a delay of game penalty. Its just five yards so its not harsh in cases where players are injured but give teams an extra "injury related" timeout per half to avoid the penalty to lessen impact for legit injuries. Otherwise, you're leaving it to the refs to determine if a player flops or not.
Curious to see the disparity in "injury" stoppages between the offense vs defense. Seems as an overwhelming majority occur on defense for obvious reasons.
Lane has been at Oxford now what, this is his 5th Season ? How long does it take a H/C to figure out that the SEC is a LOS League? You can RUTS against the Sisters of the Poor and make a name for yourself. But when it comes to the SEC, if you don’t have what it takes and secure a top notch OL, when it comes to the tough games, you simply won’t be able to ‘out smart’ the other guys. KYs lines took it to the land sharks. If Lane ‘thinks’ that he can off set lackadaisical recruiting on the lines with extra smart strategizing, then I personally want no part of him as our next Coach. We simply MUST bring in a guy/staff that will DO WHAT IT TAKES to bring our lines qualities into at least the top 1/4 of the league. Then they might be able to ‘out strategize’ other teams. Mister ‘Whoever’ is doing the next hiring, GO GET US a Coach that WILL recruit great linemen !
I think that we really don’t know what Ole Miss is yet after yesterday. I think UGA is ann L and LSU will be tough at Death Valley (prob at night). I think we will know more after the USCe game.
Read up on Curt Cignetti. Same kind of quality coach but with a better-suited offense for a Florida team
I watched part of that game yesterday and I was disturbed by the celebration that was occurring on the Ole Miss sideline after a score. The dunking of the basketball and shooting off of the fire extinquisher was too much of a clown show for me. Now, to be fair, I pretty much hate all of those showy kind of celebrations including when we had the drum major marching baton. If we do happen to get Kiffin, I hope he leaves that kind of stuff in Mississippi.
