The so called bipartisan bill paid NGOs to organize and pipeline illegals into the US.

It did little to slow their entry into America until a high threshold was reached.

And once they entered our country the bill paid for every illegal to have a lawyer.

The bill was worse than no bill as Rand Paul and others have said.

What part of this are you not getting? Have you been brainwashed?

We could just post one border patrol agent every 50'-100' on the border. With four shifts, supervision, plus the need to rotate people to deal with the heat, you're looking at a million agents. Plan on spending $100k for an average government salary plus benefits, and you have an expense of $100 billion a year. Does that sound reasonable to you? Sure, we might have to cancel Social Security and Medicare, but does America really need those programs that badly?

Personally, I find both party’s response to the boarder [sic:p] to be garbage. Neither party has the political courage to do what the citizens want, regardless of who is president.

Can we just fast forward to the part where the murderers were undetained by ICE because they're already in jail or the "murderer" is someone named Jose Lopez and there is a convicted murdered somewhere also named Jose Lopez even though it's 99.9% not the same person? Then the right wing media ecosystem will scour the country for one example of a murderer being released because of an error so they can they say "I told you it's true!"

There's absolutely more context here than a murderer come to the border and ICE saying "welcome to America - enjoy your stay!"

True immigration reform will include or start with demand based labor enforcement, very strict documentation of people, and approximately the exact same amount of non-native people allowed in (to meet labor demands. )

Just let ANYONE try to propose all of that, right?

Shoot, we've still got Wallosexuals who can't get over the lack of a physical wall.....which Trump obviously only proposed as a riff to rile up the rubes.

Look at all the people who want to become US citizens. Why would we let in any murderers, rapists or other criminals. Yet the Democrsts want to cram them down our throats
And they don't care what that does to working class Americans.

What AzCatFan and VAg8r1 need to understand

    1. America needs to bring its population down below 300 million to protect our environment and conserve our natural resources like clean water, based on analysis by grand strategist Greg Copley.

    2. The US should bring in high IQ people. That keeps our per capita productivity at a high level and helps protect social programs

    3. We should not let any murderers or other criminals into our country. Doesn't it make sense to.bring in people that have a low propensity for criminality?

    4. Letting in people from Western countries that have a Christian culture is better than letting in people that are from countries where Western type civilization isn't the default position that their genetics leads to. Has Muslim immigration to Europe been a good thing?

    5. Short term economic benefits from bringing in people who "will do the jobs that Americans won't do" doesn't set up our country for long term success. MAGA people get this. City dwellers not so much.

It’s obviously horseshit from the get go because they are conflating “noncitizens” with illegals. The original source material refers only to noncitizens. Some of those are obviously going to be legal non-citizens awaiting due process, and obviously even for “illegals” it’s dishonest to suggest these cases are all “border crossers” let alone that they all crossed in the last 3 years.

So Harris and Biden refused to enforce border laws for 3+ years but if the border bill was passed then they would start enforcing the law. Yeah right. With 40 billion more going to Ukraine than to securing the border in the bill, it is easy to see what the actual priority of the bill is.

Maybe some day someone can explain foreign policy to you.

BTW, Biden started enforcing the border law as if it were passed and crossings are at a decades long low.

Maybe some day someone can explain common sense to you. Oh wait, you're a lib not possible. Perhaps if you are serious about securing the border don't pack a bunch of stuff in the bill guaranteeing it won't pass. It is possible to do bills on a singular item. Look it up Mr. Foreign Policy Expert!

Also glad to see you are in agreement that Biden was not enforcing the border laws until recently. Any clue why they might have just started doing that? Any big events coming up that might be affecting their thinking and actions?

The law didn't pass because Trump didn't want Biden to have a border win before the election. That's the only reason.

I don't care what they told you about it on Storm Front.

As a reminder of the history, Republicans asked for the border issue to be attached to the foreign policy issues.

First, WND needs to be fact checked. Non- citizen does not automatically mean illegal. Many non-citizens in the US here legally.

Second, we know nothing about how these immigrants came here. About half of the undocumented population arrive under a legal visa and overstay it.

In short, what percentage of the criminals immigrants were here legally, and what percentage came legally but overstayed their visa? If we knew these facts, it would help determine how dangerous our S border is. But we don't know.

As for immigration reform and how many we should have here, that should be determined by market forces. Let supply legally meet demand. We currently have about 8 million undocumented immigrants working here, including 1 million in agriculture, 1 million in construction, 1 million in food service (restaurants and cafeterias), and 5 million more spread out over other industries. What happens if we magically deport these 8 million?

There aren't enough unemployed Americans to replace them. And even if a few took these immigrant jobs, they would likely ask for higher pay. Either way, we're all going to be paying higher prices for things like food.

Let's do what the bipartisan Senate commitees in 2007 and 2013 agreed to first, and expand the guest worker program.

Need them every 100’? That’s asinine. And you only need 3 shifts of 8 hours each. Plus you have AI and drones and can have border patrol more spread out. Plus, let’s just use the money we are sending to Ukraine which will more than cover our border costs. Problem solved. We also won’t have nearly as many people trying to cross once they realize they have to stay in Mexico.

    Very unsurprising that you can't.

Everyone else figured it out within seconds of reading the OP; either it's untrue, or it's a non-story because these levels of criminality are not very different from those of native-born citizens.

And thus, since we obviously need those illegal immigrants as a workforce...any body of people filling those jobs would be committing crimes at a level that is similar, if not possibly higher.

It's actually not complicated at all. If your mind could get past "Boy I shore rilly rilly would finally be happy if we just had us a rilly big wall!", then maybe you'd be able to understand it also.

The bill is just a deflection. Just like Biden was "sharper than ever" and just like the Hunter Biden laptop was "Russian disinformation." All bald faced lies that the lemmings gobble up as though they're genius talking points.
