Interestingly, you mention his social media platform in your claim of him not being beholden to anybody. That would be his social media platform with next to no revenue, a shrinking user base, and no major technological innovations that is still worth something? Why do you suppose that such a company, that doesn't make money or own any interesting assets is worth money to an investor beyond a route for corruption?

Not all of the initial investors in DJT were gullible MAGA sheep although a fairly large percentage undoubetly fell into that category. I suspect that a number of initial investors were wealthy individuals who were probably aware that the company was a scam and purchased the shares anyway as a backdoor bribe to ensure favorable treatment should Trump win the election.
