It’s going to take a monumental effort to beat UCF…I don’t think we can afford to get ahead of ourselves. I am excited about mizell’s emergence. We could have 3 quality receivers. If only the defense was a bit better…
Badger 4th in receiving yards…2024 SEC NCAA College Football Leaders & Stats - Receiving Stats | FOX Sports
I've sat on those métal bleachers when it was hot or cold for many years. Sometimes I seat between two fat guys with their shoulder on my chest. It didn't bother me because I rarely sit when I'm watching the gators play in BHG stadium. Pararap para! Go Gators!
The big thing he has over Mullen, IMO. He WANTS to win, I'm just not sure he knows how to at this level.
I have a serious question for you and anyone that contributes money to a major college program. Why do you feel compelled to donate your hard earned money to an institution that makes millions in TV money/ticket sales/concessions, and millions from students paying tuition? I paid tuition to graduate from UF, and when I go to games I pay tickets and parking and all the other expenses of attending a game. When I watch on TV, it’s from a service I pay a monthly fee to in order to watch. And on top of that, the alumni association and college still ask for money. I’m tapped out at the end of the day, and we all know how much goes to the sec schools in TV money. It’s ridiculous, and don’t get me started on taxes in this country!
We should have ‘cheaped out’ when we hired SBBN. Sadly, we paid a king’s ransom for an unproven coach.
He is what Muschamp could have been, if Muschamp could have kept his hands off the offense. I would have loved to have gotten him a few years ago. But he's also been sitting for a while, his coaching staff would be a complete unknown. And he is getting old, does he really have the fire to rebuild?
When Napier signed, he was the 4th highest paid coach in the SEC, only behind Saban, Fisher, and Smart, all of whom had national titles. Kelly signed after him but inched ahead, as did Kiffen and Heupel when they eventually signed new extensions. So I don't think we paid middle of the road. That was a premium package. It may not have been the absolute top of the league, but it's as high as I think you could have reasonably gone for someone without those title credentials.
We talking about kiffins character being a problem and then throwing around cookie monsters name as a want? Dude is as scummy as they come yet given a pass for being a loveable caveman for some reason.
A premium package would be at the top. He was clearly second tier Only to be passed by every other higher after him and some that were already at other schools. What did Debour get paid? That’s how programs that are serious about winning go about their business.
DeBoer's salary put him in the #2 position in the SEC, a little more than $2 million behind Smart. Which is about the same amount of money Napier's initial contract was behind #1 Saban. I think we're quibbling over whether or not that qualifies as "premium."
