Yeah, I’d like to see Greg Smith. He had some snaps in the Samford game - makes sense getting time in a blow out- and he looked super fast to the ball. Small sample size and competition suspect. Maybe he will be ready for a bigger role after the bye week. Hard to imagine he’d be worse than some others. Silk on stadium and gale had some sources raving about Smith being a true sideline to sideline deep safety back in fall camp. Hope that’s true.

So he's telling us against MSST our defenders finally got close enough to a ball carrier to miss a tackle. Finally, improvement.

I meant, the Swamp does not seem to hold much of an advantage when power 4 teams visit anymore. I will never disparage our great Gator fan support. They have been magnificent under Napier and deserve better.
man we’ve been saying “play the young guys” a lot every season since Napier has been here and we’re playing them and here we are. Played Castell and Thorton together at safety at times late last year and neither have taken a leap THIS year. Thorton moreso because of the seniors in front of him this year but Castell has fallen off a cliff.
Nothing takes a home crowd out like a defense that fails in 3rd down over and over again. It makes the crowd feel hopeless. I thought we were past that when Grantham moved on but the Utah game at home was really disappointing despite the win. It's only gotten worse since.
Impressive rushing stats but most of it is against a bunch of nobodys. Consider that scUM and TA&M are proving to be pretty solid teams. We got real problems but we may play UCF better than some here think
