    From this reporter's viewpoint, seems like it's all about the pregame and tailgating.

    Being outside a Trump rally venue is like being at a giddy but dystopian carnival — like something you would find in a haunted video game. Trump and MAGA flags fly everywhere. There are Trump-themed street performers — an Uncle Sam on a hoverboard or a break dancer in a full-face Trump mask and MAGA hat. There are food stands offering funnel cakes, hot dogs and lemonade. People also bring their own coolers, and by mid-afternoon, I’ve had many conversations with tipsy guys in their fourth hour of drinking, and I can smell the vapors of Miller Light wafting off of them.

    I'm a Limey Gator from Limeyland.
    Surely if this was true there would be actual evidence. Videos of it happening, receipts, testimony.

    I'm not buying it.

    There has always been something about republicans in how they make their political beliefs a big part of their personalities and identities.

    Being a Trumper is part of being a cult and having a sense of belonging to a group.

    That's why it's so sad what the right wing ecosphere does to our lonely senior citizen population. They sit around all day watching Fox News and they used to religiously listen to Limbaugh. Their family has moved on from them and they need this outlet.

    It explains how they abandon common sense and rationality to remain in their social group.

    That’s how Clinton rallies were in 2016… low attendance, and people would show up, take a selfie, and leave…. Trump 2024 is Clinton 2016. Zero excitement, and hardly anyone cares what he says…

    Another good comparison to the 2016 election is how Trump is spending so much time in states he has no chance of winning (Ca and NY for example) or states that are already his.

    I will laugh my ass off if he loses in Fl because he ignored it. Come on Fl Hatians ... this is your chance to get the last laugh!

    After 2 prior elections, there likely aren't many safe and appropriate venues in the swing states where he hasn't stiffed everyone on their bill before.

    Also, he needs these rallies for narcissism fuel to repair the damage the debate and the real polls are doing to his ego.
