Doesn’t it only come into play if large scale mfg companies were going to outsource anyway?

It’s “less bad” if something that was going to be outsourced to China goes to Mexico instead. At least that accomplishes a little diversity in supply chains, for what that’s worth.

He says women will no longer be lonely once he's president. I really don't want to know what he has in mind.

Seriously? You do not know the difference between 2nd amendment rights & illegal immigration issues and telling women what they should be feeling at any given time? How can Trump guarantee that America's women will not be lonely? Or that they will or will not think about abortion? Will he be giving women a lobotomy? If he wants to have this as a policy of his, he needs to think through how he will make it happen. He needs a plan. Not a concept of a plan. An actual plan. Sure, his ignorant worshippers (and lobotomy victims) will be happy with a concept of a plan, but everyone else will expect an actual plan.

He can't rape all of them. Lobotomies would probably be too expensive. Maybe he can brainwash them. Either that, or he will depress them so much that they no longer care if they are lonely or not.

More likely, he will unite them to despise the most vile president in U.S. history, and in their anger, they will forget they were lonely.

It's hard to tell with an idiot like Trump.

Less bad? Trump was touting his deal would bring back manufacturing to THE US. It didn’t. It brought it to Mexico. And, postscript— not only did Trump build their economy, they still didn’t pay for the wall!!!

    https://www.wsj.com/opinion/donald-...e-mexico-79daf213?mod=editorials_article_pos2

Hard to believe, but Donald Trump is giving U.S. companies a reason to think Kamala Harris might be better for their business. On Monday he gave her an assist by threatening tariffs on Deere & Co. for shifting some of its U.S.-based production to Mexico.

What Mr. Trump fails to understand is that U.S. manufacturers compete in global markets. Many customers aren’t in the U.S. and don’t care if a product is stamped “made in America.” Chinese equipment makers are increasingly vying for business in those markets.

Deere’s competitors are also expanding south of the border. Caterpillar has nearly doubled its workforce in Latin America since 2016. Farm equipment manufacturer CNH plans to shift work from Racine, Wis., to Mexico. Bobcat last year announced a $300 million investment in Mexico for compact construction equipment.

But Washington and the states can’t afford to subsidize every U.S. manufacturing job, and slapping tariffs on imports from Mexico would violate the USMCA trade agreement. It would also raise U.S. prices. Meantime, his threats help Democrats argue that Ms. Harris would be friendlier to business.

Two indisputable facts are that 1. The president controls gas prices and 2. Rally size is 100% correlated to election outcomes unless there is cheating.

    PA observations:

    1. Teamsters union declines to endorse Harris ... lots of Teamsters in PA and internal polling of Teamsters shows massive majority support for Trump
    2. Trump shot in PA ensures anybody who is leaning Trump within a 100 mile radius are going to turn out to vote
    3. Voter registration continues to favor GOP
    4. Hillary's father was from PA and she has deep roots there. Biden's from PA. Harris ain't from PA and Harris couldn't chosen the PA governor as her running mate, but opted for the nut clown Walz.
    5. Trump campaign to have thousands of ears and eyes on the ground monitoring irregularities

    1. Republicans haven't won a statewide election since 2016
    2. In 2022 Democratic candidates in statewide elections have outperformed the polls. One significant example:
