Anyone think Scott frost could have been successful here?
crazy that he really had just one realy good season, assume it was luck at this point the way nebraska went for him.
He just seemed like he had all the right tools.

 

IMO, he feels like a defensive version of Mullen: showing success but limited and perhaps a safe pick. I don't think the Great Unwashed is ready for this...again.

 

I wouldn’t have been estatic with Brian Kelly either but a ten win ceiling( just how I feel about him) is better than what we’ve had.

 

Drinkwitz should have lost to Napier last season. Their best team at home and it took a blundered ending for them to escape with a win against a Napier product. Three .500ish seasons followed by a good last season. He's better than what we have but I don't know anything about his reputation as a recruiter, head coach etc.

That said, I just want to see some semblance of competent football on both sides of the ball so I'd take anything at this point.

OK let's try this. Say we get Kiffin. He will be here for 3 years max. Either the NFL calls him or the current Alabama coach fails. He would bolt for either. Kiffin would want to do a bang-up job here to boost his resume. He goes after one of the jobs. Jedd Fisch will be 4 years into to his contract at UW. He will be ready to come home to UF. Yes, it is a crazy idea but not impossible. A man can dream, can't he?

There are à couple of differences between Drink and CBN.
I agree, Drink is à jerk, but he's a good coach IMO. While CBN is à Nice guy, but...

He has won with with two diametrically opposed QB’s in Marshall and Stidham. His buyout is 2 million in 2024 and his present salary is only 4 million, 5 million in 2025. The UAA powers to be are frothing at the mouth.

Solid choice, he’s got the moxie UF needs but he’s getting up there in age.

 

Been quite a few years, don't know if it is still working. I don't think he even has a TV that has analog anymore.
